THE IMPACT OF TATY WORLD SOFTWARE ON MATHEMATICAL ACHIEVEMENT OF MENTAL RETARDED STUDENTS OF FIRST GRADE OF SAYYAD SHIRAZI GIRLS EDUCATIONAL COMPLEX IN TEHRAN

Abstract

 Goal of this study was to determine effect of TATY WORLD SOFTWARE of MATHEMATICs on ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT in mentally retarded female students. Method of reaserch was quasiexperimental, using pre- and posHest. Statistical population were 63 FIRST GRADE students in Sayyad Shirazi, educational complex in Tehran that after relative control of some variables decreased to 55 people. An available sampling method was used for sample selection. There were 6 FIRST GRADE classes in the center. Three classes were chosen as the control group and three others as the experimental group. For three experimental groups TATY WORLD SOFTWARE was used for 4 months, each week, and two serrion session 45 minutes. The control groups were given exercises in traditional method. Results showed that posttest MATHEMATIC scores of the experimental groups were higher than those of control group's students. Conclusion: softwares and update technology are useful for ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT of MENTAL RETARDED students.
