Abstract

European Union, from the beginning of its role in world and regional issues has been engaged as an important actor in the Middle East conflict and peace process. Europe, despite of the cold war period obstacles has been trying to play an active role in this region and its conflicts. By peace talks in 1990 decade, E. U. improved its role from economic to political and made a clear position on ISRAELi _ Palestinian conflict which later on considered as part of the principles of peace plan. By introducing ROAD MAP, Europe alongside U. S. became a major actor in THE MIDDLE EAST PEACE PROCESS. The article tries to explain the changing positions of E.U. on policies regarding the Middle East conflicts and peace process.
