Abstract

This research was aimed at comparing the MENTAL HEALTH characteristics and MARITAL SATISFACTION between 'wanted' and 'unwanted' pregnant women in ahvaz. To this end, 150 pregnant women were randomly selected from pregnant women referred to the center for parental care, completed SCL-90-R (administered to assess metal heath) and Enrich Questionnaires (employed to as-sess the MARITAL SATISFACTION). Results showed that there were statistically significant differences (P=0.05) between the two groups with respect to their scores on MENTAL HEALTH and MARITAL SATISFACTION indices.
