Abstract

Introduction: PRAYER is regarded as a curative procedure that a lot of attention has been paid to it by the researchers in the recent years, in terms of its effects and different ways of praying concerning the disease TREATMENTs. This article is generally aimed at determining the current approaches of PRAYER in the ISLAmic texts, articles and the most updated medical documentations.Methods: In order to make the study, many articles from Pub Med were studied with the keyword of “intercessory PRAYER”. Other ISLAmic texts like Quran, Sahife-Sajadie and Mafatih- al-Janan were also studied and different tempers and morals regarding the PRAYER were considered as well.Findings: One of the remarkable points in our PRAYER culture is to lay the hand on the exact place of the pain or disease and to pray for it right after. The mechanism for the effect of this method has been ratified in the new PRAYER-treatment techniques. In addition, the intentions of our PRAYER notify the patients that the disease and even death is not considered as the ultimate and final end of the human life. Such contemplation will indeed play the role of a support tool for real believer to tolerate the disease.Discussion & Conclusion: The high concentration of medical science intellectuals to the study of the effect of PRAYER on curing the diseases displays a kind of pain in the body and soul of the human being on one hand, and conveys the opinion of the medical science researchers that “ignoring such opportunity that is to make use of PRAYER and ethereality for curing the diseases is no more acceptable” on the other hand.
