Abstract

 This essay is going to survey the role of the organizational commitment in Islamic Azad University Faculty Members' PARTICIPATION in the cultural activities. The organizational commitment is defined to be assimilated with a special organization or to be dependent on that organization. In this essay the commitment is divided into three parts such as normal, emotional and continuous commitment. The type of relation between organizational commitment and on IAU faculty members' PARTICIPATIONs in the cultural activities is main objective. The view points are 365 members of IAU faculty members teach in IAU North Tehran Branch (management, social and Humanity College). The sample value according the Crèches chart and Morgan is 191 members.The researcher has used the questionnaire to gather the data and after analysis the data he came to conclusion that all hypotheses have been proved. The conclusions show that there is a high strong relation between the faculty members 'emotional and continuous commitment and their PARTICIPATION, but there is a strong relation between the faculty members' normal commitment and their PARTICIPATION.
