THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CULTURAL INTELLIGENCE AND DESIRED ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE (CASE STUDY: GRADUATE STUDENTS OF MANAGEMENT AT ISLAMIC AZAD UNIVERSITY, CENTRAL TEHRAN BRANCH)

Abstract

 Introduction and Objective: In new approaches of Management Science, teamwork and cooperation and interaction with others are of high significance. In this regard, coordination between the CULTUREs of the staff and employing organizations conditions, paves the ground for facilitated and continued cooperation. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between cultural INTELLIGENCE and a desired organizational CULTURE from the perspective of management students as future managers of organizations and institutions in the country. Methods: This study is descriptive and correlational, and in terms of the objective it is applied. SPSS software, Correlation Test, T-test, Pearson and Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests are used to analyze the data.Results: The hypothesis test shows that there is a meaningful correlation between all dimensions of cultural INTELLIGENCE and desired organizational CULTURE from the perspective of the students. Students with high and low cultural INTELLIGENCE choose result-oriented organizations, while students with average cultural INTELLIGENCE go for team-oriented organizations.Conclusion: In addition to recognizing the proportionality of their CULTURE to the CULTURE of the organization, managers have to consider this proportion while choosing their personnel and make their organization immune to problems such as absenteeism, leaving office, conflict, incompatibility of human resources, etc. which occur due the incompatibility between the CULTUREs of the staff and their organization.
