Abstract

Quran is outcome of a discourse. Analysis of this discourse confirms the role-play of three main components in creation of this discourse: TEXT, author, and ADDRESSEE; however DISCOURSE ANALYSIS starts from TEXT component, purposefulness of transmitter (author) from creation of this TEXT is effecting on ADDRESSEE (who actively give and understand the message) in the highest level. Therefore, in parallel with benefiting from criterion language in presenting messages of TEXT, it uses creative language for HIGHLIGHTING the message to a desirable level and organizes it for the purpose of guiding the ADDRESSEE toward contribution to understanding and comprehension the TEXT. Messages in the language of criterion aim interpretive understanding level of ADDRESSEE due to the giving recognition and changing his view, and messages in the form of allegory language aim his metaphorical interpretation understanding level for the purpose of changing the his behavior. Despite predominance of beauty role of Quran’s TEXT (highlighting) which motivates the ADDRESSEE for the purpose of making relation with the TEXT, characteristic, cognitive and cultural-social obstacles prevent the ADDRESSEE to contribute actively in the receipt of message. Thus, in confronting the perception and recording the message, acts selective.
