Abstract

 Organizational policies and employee victimization at work are social stressor that have significant consequences for employee health. The aim of present research is to study the impact of Favoritism and Supervisor Incivility on Workplace Withdrawal through mediator role of Organizational Pessimism. Research population consists of employees of four and five – star hotels in Tehran, among which 275 individuals were selected through convenience sampling. Data collection instrument was a standard questionnaire. For validity purpose, face validity and for reliability purpose Cronbach alfa coefficient were applied. This study is an applied research in terms of objective and a descriptive-correlational research in terms of data collection methodology. Structural equation modeling and LISREL software were used to examine the model under study. The results indicate that Favoritism/ Nepotis have a significant positive impact on Organizational Pessimism and Workplace Withdrawal; and Organizational Pessimism has a significant positive impact on Workplace Withdrawal; also, Organizational Pessimism has mediator role the impact of Favoritism and Supervisor Incivility on Workplace Withdrawal.
