THE INFLUENCE OF EMOTIONAL LABOR AND CALLING ORIENTATION ON EMPLOYEES EMOTIONAL EXHAUSTION

Abstract

 Emotional exhaustion is not only harmful for employees, but also seriously damages the organization, due to this fact, studying the factors influencing this variable in order to reduce its damages is essential. Since many theoretical foundations confirm influences of employee's emotions and work orientation on EMOTIONAL EXHAUSTION, this research also investigated the role of EMOTIONAL LABOR and CALLING ORIENTATION on employee's EMOTIONAL EXHAUSTION .In this research, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad employees in the education section were selected as the research population. In order to get the data, questionnaire was used.For analyzing data, within structural equation method, Smartpls software was used. Fitting indexes supported the suggested model. And demonstrated that proposed model has an approved value. Between the three paths in the model, the only path between CALLING ORIENTATION and EMOTIONAL EXHAUSTION was significant, and showed that CALLING ORIENTATION has a negative effect on EMOTIONAL EXHAUSTION. In addition, lack of relationship between the EMOTIONAL EXHAUSTION and the EMOTIONAL LABOR will reduce concerns of policy makers about positive effect of the EMOTIONAL LABOR on the EMOTIONAL EXHAUSTION.
