Abstract

The aim of this study was to design a model to identify the process of knowledge creation in the university. The research methodology is mixed method. In qualitative research part and through semi- structured interviews with 14 experts who were selected sampling method, were identified the process of knowledge creation in universities. In quantitative research by using descriptive and analytical method and through questionnaire were collected viewpoints of Tehran University FACULTY. As a result of the qualitative analysis, the process of knowledge creation includes 8 steps that were identified as follows: "Stimulating the curiosity", "creating the idea", "data collecting about idea", "sharing ideas with others", "Organizing the idea", "Testing the idea", "Analyzing the results of testing ideas", and "dissemination". The results of quantitative analysis in order to fit the proposed model for the process of knowledge creation in universities shows that: identified Pattern is appropriate and among the process of knowledge creation, stimulating of curiosity and data collecting about idea are the most effective steps of KNOWLEDGE CREATION PROCESS in university.
