Abstract

The main purpose of this research was to investigate the impact of PSYCHOLOGICAL EMPOWERMENT and LOCUS OF CONTROL on ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT at State-run university of Shahid rajaee Teacher Training. From 230 staff employees, 136 subjects have been selected based on Morgan table. Data was collected through a three questionnaires (Alpha reliability coefficients, 0.73, 0.76 and 0.71 respectively). Data analysis was done by person and regression. The results demonstrated the positive and significance relationship among empowerment dimensions and ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT dimensions. Also, linkage among meaningful and ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT, self-choice and ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT was significance. So, can be alleged that these relationships is significance and positive. In contrast, the relationship among effectiveness and ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT was not significant. Base on correlation Pearson coefficient, the relationship among LOCUS OF CONTROL and ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT, LOCUS OF CONTROL and affective commitment, LOCUS OF CONTROL and normative commitment was negative. Multiple regression results showed that ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT has been predict only by meaningful dimension (B=0.18, P<0.001, F=12.18) and other dimensions of PSYCHOLOGICAL EMPOWERMENT could not be predictor of ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT. With entering the LOCUS OF CONTROL in regression equation, prediction power of meaningful variable will be diminished and LOCUS OF CONTROL is best predictor of ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT.
