Abstract

History of JOURNALISM ASSOCIATIONS in Iran has been evidence from the past that these associations have not reached development.They have been born and - sooner or later - before they turn into mature organizations, they have self-closed or closed by others.This paper examines the impact of ORGANIZATIONAL BARRIERS impeding the development of JOURNALISM ASSOCIATIONS in Iran compared with developed countries.Organizational barriers are those that JOURNALISM ASSOCIATIONS as some systems are challenged by their internal components.The research has been conducted by survey method and the statistical population includes professors, journalists and members of the Board of Directors of JOURNALISM ASSOCIATIONS in Iran and developed countries.The results showed that the progress of any organization or system also depends on its internal elements. When any of the internal elements (managers, members and Statute) are weak, the association will be in trouble during the course of development.
