Abstract

 Objective: The aim of the present study is to survey ATTITUDE of first year female Kazeroun University students concerning AIDS.This research is a descriptive- analytic survey. The sample of this study has been 252 first year female Kazeroon University students. Sampling was done in two successive days and samples are selected from all classes with the most girl students. The research tool had been a questionnaire which is prepared by the researcher and it is consist of identifying data, attitudinal statement and two open questions. Validity and reliability of questionnaire was determined by content validity and the Karanbakh alpha respectively. The research data has been analyzed by SPSS software and appropriate statistical methods to determine the data both qualitatively and quantitatively.The findings of study presented that 24.6% of subjects under investigation believe that they can protect themselves against AIDS and emphasized improvement of their capabilities as abiding religious beliefs (32.2%), observing hygiene (25.4%), being faithful to family (13.5%) and preventing unsound company (11.86%). 74/6% of girls have positive insights towards the HIV disease. 69.1% of students believe that the patient has the right of normal life. In turn 57.6% and 70.6% of subjects participating in study are against patient marrying and marrying healthy ones. 42.06% agree to sterilize infected women and men, and 40.4% approve of their isolation and 45.25 does not tend to be a neighbor or classmate of a patient with AIDS. In practice, less than 23% of subjects participating in study agree to marry a person infected with AIDS. If they themselves are healthy, they will accept an infected spouse, and continue to live with the one who causes her to be infected too. Less than 64% of people accept to inform their own disease, their spouse and / or children to treatment center. 22.2% and 16.7% of these people continue to have their relation with infected relative and friends respectively.In general, against the most of other studies the most of women think to know how protect themselves against AIDS.
