Abstract

Introduction: The success of every organization undoubtedly in related to an efficient monitoring and evaluation system. ACCREDITATION is an external evaluation method, which helps healthcare organizations to achieve pre-defined standards. This study aims to evaluate the effects of ACCREDITATION on the health services delivering in University HOSPITALS of Isfahan from the staff point of view.Methods: it was a descriptive survey conducted in 5 University HOSPITALS of Esfahan provinces using Cluster sampling method, carried out on 2014. A researcher made questionnaire was used to collect data and its validity was approved. the reliability of the questionnaire was determined through Cornbrash's alpha coefficient a=0.81. Data analysis was done descriptive and inferential statistics, and SPSS software. Kolmogorov- Smirnov test, independent t-test and one-way analysis of variance were used.Results: mean score of ACCREDITATION effect on delivering health services was 0.94±0.68 that this shows mild effect of ACCREDITATION on delivering health services from personnel view point. ACCREDITATION effect on possesses, patient satisfaction and QUALITY of services from majority was evaluated at high level and other aspects evaluated at mild level. There are significant differences in the mean score of ACCREDITATION effect on delivering health services from personnel view point.Conclusion: findings show positive effects of ACCREDITATION on the PERFORMANCE and QUALITY of healthcare centers. It is suggested that hospital administrators more Consideration on ACCREDITATION in their programs. In the field of efficiency, commitment, and teamwork through an emphasis on PERFORMANCE indicators, education, and awareness of staff, budget allocation and planning, ACCREDITATION effects can be touched.
