Title

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TEAMWORK WITH JOB STRESS AND JOB MOTIVATION IN NURSES

Abstract

 Background and aims: TEAMWORK is a way of organizing activities in health and health care that provides a broad approach to health needs. Due to the key role of TEAMWORK for care and nursing profession, the study of the motivational factors and job barriers has considerable importance. Thus, the aim of the present study was to determine the relationship between team work, JOB MOTIVATION and JOB STRESS among NURSEs.Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 200 NURSEs employed in hospitals affiliated to Kerman University of Medical Sciences, were selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected by a four-part questionnaire consisted of the demographic data, Hoegl and Gemuenden Team Work Questionnaire, Hackman and Oldham JOB MOTIVATION Questionnaire and JOB STRESS Questionnaire (HSE). Data were analyzed using SPSS software and statistical tests including Pearson's correlation coefficient, Independent T-test, ANOVA.Results: The findings suggest that there was a statistically significant negative correlation between team work with JOB STRESS (P<0.0001) and between JOB MOTIVATION and job strain (P<0.02. There was a statistically significant positive correlation between team work and JOB MOTIVATION (P<0.0009).Conclusion: According to the findings, to improve and promote the quality of clinical practice depends on team work, and it is facilitated with the planning for increasing JOB MOTIVATION and reducing JOB STRESS causes.
