Abstract

 Objective: The purpose of this work was to investigate the relationship between TALENT MANAGEMENT, staff EMPOWERMENT, and ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS on SPORT AND YOUTH ADMINISTRATIONS in the Tehran province.Methodology: This research work was carried out by a descriptive field method. Based on the Cochran’s formula, the sample comprised 180 staffs out of 450 employees in the SPORT AND YOUTH ADMINISTRATIONS in the Tehran province. In order to collect data, the Armstrong's TALENT MANAGEMENT questionnaire (1997), Spreitzer et al.'s staff EMPOWERMENT questionnaire (1997), and Hmidi's ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS questionnaire (2002) were used. Descriptive methods were used to analyze the data and structural equation modeling (SEM) was uesd in order to determine the effects.Findings: Data analysis showed that TALENT MANAGEMENT was effective on staff EMPOWERMENT (pc=0.85) and also on ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS (pc=0.39). Staff EMPOWERMENT was effective on ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS (pc=0.69).Conclusion: Recruitment and maintenance of staff that are aligned with organizational goals in sport administrations can help to have an empowered staff, and result in improvement in the ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS.
