Abstract

This paper focuses on the derivation and systematic estimation of ENERGY CARRIERS DEMAND functions in INDUSTRY sector. The method of derivation consists of two stages. In the first stage, the energy derived demand is obtained from indirect Tran slog cost function associated With other inputs such as capital, labor and raw material. In the second stage, the cost of energy is defined as a function of a class of oil products (Gasoline, Krosen, Gas Oil, Liquid Gas, Fuel Oil, LPG), natural Gas; and electricity. The systemic method of this research is more exact in comparison with the single equation estimation, and by using this systemic method, all the effective factors on energy carrier demand could be measured simultaneously and in an interactive manner.The results show that if the aim of the increase of energy price is higher revenue for government, it will be possible due to inelasticity of demand, but if the aim is the decreaye of energy consumption, it will not be easily attainable due to some reasons such as economy structure and inflexibility and rigidity of technology in INDUSTRY sector.
