Abstract

Speech due to having specific setting in making communication between man and environment, has a special importance. Since disorder in speech causes a lot of problems, so one of the common aspects of speech disturbances is ARTICULATION DISORDER. In this study, relation between FINE MOTOR SKILLS and ARTICULATION DISORDER has been investigated. This study has been carried out upon tow 7-10 year - old children groups; 46 children in case control and 36 with having disorder articulation. In this investigation, in order to survey the rate of children's FINE MOTOR SKILLS diodochockentic test was used to evaluate the ability of FINE MOTOR SKILLS in spech organs and Lincoln Ozerestky motor skills test was made in use to evaluate the ability of the children's FINE MOTOR SKILLS individually; such as skills of fingers coordination of eyes, hands, arms, feet and body. In this study, it was observed that between the average of the obtained scores in the ability of performing the FINE MOTOR SKILLS by using diodochocknetic test and Lincoln Ozerestky movement test in normal and abnormal children there has been significant difference (P<0.05). This research indicated that ability of performing the FINE MOTOR SKILLS in normal children is more than ones with the ARTICULATION DISORDERs. And in both groups, it was also determined that this skill is developed with the ARTICULATION DISORDERs. And in both groups, it was also determined that this skill is developed with increasing the age.
