Abstract

Stress has been investigated from differnt points of View. One of the most important approaches to stress IS Person- Environment fit. This study investigated the goodness of fit of this theory in explaining the Tabriz Teachers. For this purpose 656 female and 330 male Teachers completed a self administered questionnaire concernmg Person-Environment and job stress. Beside the self administered questionnair Principles completed 196 questionnaire about these teachers. The results showed that P-E fit has an considerably effet on stress level and its, Psychological and Physiological consequences. The results also showed significant differences between the views of the principles, and the teachers, evaluation of their fitness to the environment.
