Abstract

Introduction: POST DURAL PUNCTURE HEADACHE it is commonly seen in SPINAL ANESTHESIA and its mechanism is due to loss of cerebrospinal fluid. Personal experience has shown that the administration of Doku Ampoules about the resistant to treatment POST DURAL PUNCTURE HEADACHE has caused a headache improvement. Therefore, this study examines the effects of this drug on POST DURAL PUNCTURE HEADACHE.Materials and Methods: This study is a randomized clinical trial. In this study, patients were divided in two groups (recipient Doku ampoule (5mg/cc)) and control (placebo) group. A quarter before SPINAL ANESTHESIA intramuscularly injected Doku 5mg/cc in case group and 1 cc N/S in control group. Anesthesia in patients done and Then, after the end of surgery, every 24 hours to one week were recorded and measured for headache and severity using VAS. In case have a headache, conservative proceedings were used.Results: In this study, 200 patients candidate for SPINAL ANESTHESIA has been studied in case and control groups. The average age of the case and control group 42.24 and 42.9 years respectively. The results showed that in case group 10% and in control group 18 of patients within 7 days after surgery have a headache (P=0.0161) and The headaches only on the first day of the first group was significantly lower than the control group.Conclusion: Results of this study showed that DEOXYCORTICOSTERONE could not have a positive effect on POST DURAL PUNCTURE HEADACHE and Reduce headache.
