Abstract

The goal of present research was to investigate the effectiveness of two approaches of FAMILY THERAPY- "Redecision Therapy" and "Narrative Therapy" - and also the integration of these two therapies with "Positive psychology". In order to reach this goal the process of group counseling was used; In this study, seven hypotheses were tested. The theoretical bases of the above hypotheses were Erick Bern, Robert and Mary Goulding; Micheal White and David Epston; and Martin Seligman.The research design in this study was pre-test, post-test with control group. All married students of Tehran University who they were married at least for two years were total population of this study. From this population 20 couples were the sample; Enrich Marital Satisfaction Questionnaire was used as an instrument. After administering the pre-test, the samples were randomly chosen in 3 experimental groups and I control group. The experimental group was under 5 sessions of 2 hours of group counseling. Then all of 4 group were given the same questionnaire; The dependent variable in this research was examined in 2 ways: Subscale of marital satisfaction and total index of marital satisfaction.The obtained results by descriptive and inferential statistics-independent t-test, Anova and Turkey test-showed the confirmation of 6 hypotheses in this research; finally some suggestions for further research were given and also introducing a "Successful Couples Pyramid".
