Abstract

Introduction: OCCUPATION is a part of man's life that apart from financial resources satisfies some other essential needs of his such as mental and physical moves, social contacts and self- appreciation feelings. However, it can be a cause of mental STRESS. So, to determine any relation between a part of demographic variables with OCCUPATIONal STRESS and job CONSENT in 2001.Methods :In this analytic- descriptive research, 420 cases were selected through a classical random sampling. Two questionnaires of field worth job CONSENT in STRESS ful conditions were applied. After the questionnaires were filled out, the data were analysed using consolidation quota statistics of chi & pierson. Results: A descriptive study of the statements indicated that 70% of the case group had expressed relatively job CONSENTs, 49% considered their jobs boring, 28.5 showed no CONSENT and 66% indicated a contradiction between ORGANIZATIONal and academic roles. The finds proved a negative co-relation OCCUPATIONal STRESS and CONSENT (1= -0.43).Discussion: It is recommended to determine the causes of OCCUPATIONal STRESS as well as CONSENT factors under different work environments to promote the job CONSENT, productivity and consequently life satisfaction among the employees. It also seems necessary to train the managers and employees to know, control and predict the STRESS- causing factors.
