Abstract

Al-Durr al-Manthur, compiled by SOYUTI, is a sunni hadith-oriented tafsir in the 10th century. In this tafsir every verse of the holy Quran is followed by some HADITHS beneath it as an interpretation. Since there is no annotation about these HADITHS, so it is understood that he has confirmed them. However, in this tafsir, we sometimes encounter fabricated or unreliable HADITHS and we have a few instances in which the author has given his opinion about the strength of weakness of a hadith. In addition to IMAM ALI, PEACE BE UPON HIM, he has transmitted hadith from a wide variety of hadith transmitters. The author of the present paper only deals with those HADITHS which have been reported from IMAM ALI and tries to find out how much of them are reliable.
