Abstract

The purpose of the research is the study of the relationship between the results obtained from the continuous and FINAL EVALUATION of high schools in Bousher province. The method of the research is correlational. The population consisted of all high school STUDENTs in different fields of study in theoretical (Nazari) branch in the academic year of 1388-89. The research sample consisted of 3380 subjects selected through clustering sampling. In order to gather data, the data from the STUDENTs' files were used. To analyze the gathered data, the descriptive and inferential statistics were applied. The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between the scores obtained from the continuous and FINAL EVALUATIONs. In other words, the scores obtained from the CONTINUOUS EVALUATION predicts up to 53% of the variance of the FINAL EVALUATION. It is concluded that the CONTINUOUS EVALUATION of STUDENTs plays a determining factor in their progress regarding different grades, fields of study and courses.
