Abstract

 Objective: This study investigates the effect of SELF-REGULATION skills on ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE among high school students with VISION LOSS. Method: For this purpose, all of 120 students from Shorideh School for Blind Students were recruited and randomly assigned into control and experiment groups. Motivation and Learning Strategies Questionnaire (MSLQ), and a biology test were administered as the pretest for the two groups. The experiment group received 8 sessions of training for SELF-REGULATION skills. A follow-up was conducted for the groups after 1 month.Results: Variance analysis with repeated measures manifested a significant difference between the two groups. This means that the experimental group performance in biology was improved. The follow-up study showed that the effect was still maintained after the time. Conclusion: This study confirmed that self regulation skills can improve the ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE in high school students with VISION LOSS.
