Abstract

Purpose: Reports the role of Alliance School in the cultural development of the Jewish community in Kermanshah. Method and Research Design: Archival records and library resources were consulted to collect data. Findings and Conclusion: The School was instrumental in promoting literacy and culture among the members of the community. It was pioneer of women education in the city and helped the Jewish community to upgrade its status to the middle class.
