This study aims at analyzing and setting knowledge and skills necessary for school managers in theoretical, humanistic and conceptual aspects through ongoing fieldwork throughout Iran’s schools. The population was all school managers in Iran in the academic year of 83-84 comprising 981180 people. The sample included 2030 managers who were chosen randomly through Morgan Table. The results showed that managers’ knowledge and skills in theoretical aspect include educational advancement evaluation, computer use in schools, seminars on investigating counterattack procedures for educational fallbacks, educational planning, educational technology, schools’ rules and principles, staff evaluation, managing school sessions, teaching methods, accounting and budgeting in institutes, educational management, safety and hygiene of schools, extracurricular activities in schools, educational and vocational guidance in schools, writing skill, elementary education, junior high school and high school, educational supervision and guidance, and information technology. From the humanistic perspective, it involves religion teaching methods, human relations in institutes, the application of psychology in management, teenagers and youths’ issues, psychological hygiene, educational psychology, co-operational management, Islamic ethics, social psychology in education, personality psychology, and guidance and consultancy principles. And in conceptual aspect, it comprises decision making in management, innovation in educational corporations, school centeredness, fruitfulness in schools, time management, educational issues, educational management principles, education in the 21st century, holistic quality management in education, seminars on management in education, social crisis management, extending and improving corporations, educational sociology, the philosophy of educational activities, education philosophy and application of systematic hypothesis in educational management.
