Abstract:

The purpose of present article was to make research in order to compiling a model for explaining and predicting mathematics achievement based on motivational attitudes (including Individual, familial and scholastic factors). Subjects were 120 male high school students from Tehran, which chosen thorough multiple stage random sampling. Method of research was prediction type of correlation. The research instrument employed, were three reliable questionnaires. Also Mathematics grade took as basis for mathematics achievement. SPSS software employed for analyzing data. Then the proposed model was tested by LISREL software and regression equation computed and hypothesizes were tested. Results of first hypothesis showed that individual, familial and scholastic factors can predict mathematics achievement. Results of testing the second hypothesis revealed that proposed model had not fit index and this hypothesis did not confirmed. Results of testing third hypothesis showed that all three factors partially predict mathematical achievement (I.F=. /67, F.F=. /61 and S.F=. /49). Forth hypothesis testing revealed that with respect to F.F, A.F can predict more variance of mathematical achievement.

Descriptive statistical methods and multiple regression analysis were used for organizing and analyzing data. General findings indicated that achieved identity status in all groups, positively predicts communication skills. Also, diffusion identity status predicts communication skills in urban students negatively but does not predict communication skills in tribal student. Furthermore, diffusion identity status negatively predicts communication skills in boys but does not predict communication skills in girls. Diffusion identity status negatively predict communication skills in urban girls while does not predict communication skills in tribal girls. Abstract:

This research aim is Meta-Analysis of the previous researches on martyres’ children’s educational drop-out between the years 1994 and 2006. In order to do this, it tries to come to unified and harmonious findings from previous researches, and specify the real effects and significance level of each of the influential factors on educational drop-out i.e. personal, family, instructional and socio-environmental. Then, it specifies which variables have the most powerful effect on martyres’ children’s educational fall. The population of this research included all of the researches carried out on martyres’ children’s educational drop-out between the years 1994 and 2006. The influential variables in martyres’ children’s educational drop-out were categorized to personal, family, instructional and socio-environmental factors. These factors were entered to the CMA program. In 11 researches, 26 personal variables; in 13 researches, 43 family variables; in 6 researches, 14 instructional variables, and in 5 researches, 6 socio-environmental variables were identified. The most influential variable in the personal factors was “future employment viewpoint”; in the family factors the most influential variables were “family management” and “permanent illness of the family members”. There was not a significant relation among the influence of the different variables (personal, family, instructional, and socio-environmental) on the basis of the educational level. There was not a significant relation among the influence of the different variables (personal, family, instructional, and socio-environmental) on the basis of the statistical methods. There was not a significant relation among the influence of the different variables (personal, family, instructional, and socio-environmental) on the basis of the different sampling techniques utilized.

Abstract:

In sustainability vision, the most important capital of countries is human capitals. Therefore higher education as a promoter of human capital, and producer of knowledge, has a crucial responsibility in this regard and entitled a special place in achieving sustainable development. The purpose of this descriptive analytical study was to design a conceptual model for sustainable university. To achieve the purpose, the literature of sustainability in higher education, and the most popular activities, around the world, for integrating sustainability into all functions of universities were reviewed. Based on this review, the elementary model was designed. This model was revised by certain higher education experts.Eventually, the model of sustainable university was designed based on the principles of systems thinking, participatory planning, and sustainable development. Finally, the required changes in teaching learning process were explained to create a base for new academic culture. The formation of Sustainability Committee in universities to plan for integrating sustainability into education, research, and outreach is the most important part of the model. It is hoped that the designed model could help to develop higher education, on course of scientific power sustainability of the country.
