Abstract: 

This paper is about multiplicity in curriculum theory. First, Paper explained the place of curriculum theory between other disciplines. Then, paper presented the characteristics and structure of theory and theorizing in curriculum. Since explanation of nature and diversity in curriculum theory and reasons, argument is that some sorts of reduction in concept of curriculum theory and theorizing and also assumption of the curriculum as a complexity construct, causing the plurality of voices in the curriculum theories, leading to a wide range of what called ‘ theory’ that on one hand reaches to the control-based approaches in the technical orientation camp, and on the other hand to the emancipatory-based views, metaphor and allegory are in reconceptualists are community. Finally, examples of conceptual reductionism and how to deal with complexity has provided, and has concluded that conceptual and complexity reduction, accompanying with celebration ofcomplexity, have provided the context for theoretical generation incurriculum.

Abstract: 

Aesthetics refers to the knowledge of how to use senses to know. The purpose of this study was to introduce Maxine Greene's views about art and aesthetic and its implications on aesthetic education. So, in this article, authors are looking for doctrines of art and aesthetics from Greene's viewpoints. What are the outcomes of these doctrines in education? Therefore, in order to answer to these questions, first, by using analysis and writing methods, some Greene's articles and interviews that associated with this subject were studied, then based on her views about art and aesthetic, key implications and strategies in aesthetic education was inferred. Greene considers arts as a name for appreciation discrimination and understanding various arts. Greene believed aesthetic education in contemporary thought is important because of three main reasons: 1)Opening spaces through aesthetics education, 2) Becoming wide-awake, 3) Discoveringthe Importance of Imagination. From Greene's viewpoints what makes aesthetics growis art. In general, all the effort of Greene is that inform professionals of education fromthe increasingly neglected public education of art and aesthetics.

Abstract: 

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the role of critical thinking components in predicting self-efficacy (effort, self-regulation, and diligence) among the students of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. Statistical population of the study included 609 students of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, and 361 students were selected via random sampling as the statistical sample. The data were collected using both standard questionnaire and a researcher-made questionnaire whose reliability was confirmed by experts in the field. The validity of the whole questionnaire was also calculated at 0. 90 via Cronbach alpha. Collected data were analyzed by SPSS 20 applications. Results, according to research hypotheses, revealed that both the components of cognitive maturity and engagement, as dimensions of tendency to critical thinking, in the first hypothesis, have an impact on students’ effort. However, the relationship between the component of innovation and students’ effort were rejected. In the second hypothesis, moreover, it was confirmed that the components of innovativeness and engagement can predict students’ self-regulation. That is, there was a significant relationship between the components of innovativeness and engagement with students’ self-regulation. Nevertheless, it was revealed that the component of cognitive maturity has no impact on students’ self-regulation.

Abstract: 

The major purpose of the research was to identify effective conditions and strategies to improve and foster mathematical creativity in educational environments. Data is gathered using grounded theory and semi structured introspective interviews. The population were all students who are majoring in mathematics in the universities in Tehran. For the semi structured introspective interviews, 13 mathematics students were asked to participate in the study based on purposive sampling. The data was analyzed by coding process in the two stages of free and axial coding. To ensure that the research is qualified, the credibility, dependability, transferability and conformability criteria were used. The results revealed that there are several subcategories for effective conditions and strategies that explain how they influence creative solutions of the mathematics problems. The research could help the educators to provide suitable educational environments which can develop mathematical creativity.

Abstract: 

In the era of development, with society need to citizens with an economic lifestyle based on development appropriate to its domestic culture is urgent, updating education and making changes in curricula related to the economic indicators of lifestyle is urgent. The purpose of this study was to determine the content conformity and implementation in elementary school curriculum with economic indicators of lifestyle based on Islamic-Iranian development. Research method was descriptive-analytic. In order to collect data, a researcher-made questionnaire and content analysis of textbooks were used. The research was conducted on a sample of teachers in disticts 2, 6 and 12 (n=176) of Tehran and elementary school textbooks in the academic year of 1393-94. Results of the study showed that the teachers' attention to teaching economic indicators of lifestyle-based on Islamic-Iranian development was higher than average. Of course, most consideration has been paid to the cognitive dimension and the least attention to the behavioral dimension. Effort and perseverance have been the main focus in compiling the content of the elementary curriculum, and the least attention has been paid to avoiding consumerism.

Abstract: 

The aim of this study was to determine effectiveness of Curriculum Theater in Social skills and learning (academic performance) of elementary students in Gheshm. Research method in this study was mid-experimental with pretest-posttest and control group design. Statistical populations were all girls’ students in the fourth grade of elementary schools at Gheshm. Research’ s sample was 63 girls’ students that were selected randomly in two classes and randomly divided into two groups i. e. experimental and control groups. The experimental group shared in drama sessions during 10 sessions, 45 minutes each and control group have routine acts. Collecting tools of data was Matson’ s social skills scale and reading, dictate and mathematical tests. Analysis of data through MANCOVA indicated that academic drama has a positive effect on increasing socialskills of girl’ s students (P<0. 001). Also, had a significant effect on reading and dictationlearning (P<0. 001). But, it had no significant effect on mathematical learning. This studyshowed drama has a positive effect on both social skills and academic performance ofgirl’ s students in fourth grade elementary schools.

Abstract: 

This research was conducted with the aim of explanation of learning approaches and suitable evaluation for professional development curricula of pre-school teachers. This research was both quantitative and qualitative approach, the qualitative approach, content analysis and in quantitative approach, descriptive method were used. Statistical society includes members of scientific board of universities, Ph. D. students, and mentors of psychology, curriculum and preschool teachers. Sampling method in the qualitative section was targeted and networking and in order to select teachers random classification method was used. Data was collected by the semi-structured interview and a researcher made questionnaire. To estimate validity of the interview and questionnaire, the content validity, and to estimate reliability of the questionnaire, the Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used. Qualitative findings were categorized based on content analysis and qualitative findings were analyzed by the inferential and descriptive statistics. Friedman’ s test results showed that according to viewpoint of teachers on learning-teaching approaches of professional development, using creative teaching method is more important and performing simulated methods have the lowest importance. To evaluate capabilities of teachers, functional tests in terms of importance are very important and combination of 4-items and descriptive questions has the lowest importance.
