Abstract: 

It is obvious that driving without observing traffic regulations threatens all societies and destroys calmness and comfort of community people. A variety of causes play roles in observing traffic regulations. The purpose of present study is to study relationship between deterrent causes and observing traffic regulations level in Tabriz city. The present study is a survey one from viewpoint of controlling research conditions and a sectional study from the aspect of time components. The statistical community of this investigation includes all over-18 years old citizens who have driving license and personal vehicle that have been selected and reviewed by accidental sampling. The data collection tool is questionnaire. The findings of the research showed that there are meaningful relationship among demerit point variables, including hazardous fractions (r=0/42), awareness level of new regulation (r=0/59), extent of penalty and fine risk (r=0/526) and observing traffic regulations. The regression analysis represents that 37 percent of index changes, i.e. observing traffic regulation level have been clarified by independent variables. It comes to conclude that the more is awareness of new regulations; issue of demerit points and level of penalty and fine risk, the more is the possibility of observing traffic regulations, the reverse should also be taken into consideration.

Abstract: 

The purpose of the present study is to review and identify turning status in the right and left-handed individuals. The main question of the research is that are right and left-handed different or similar while turning? This study is practical from viewpoint of objective and quasi-experiment from viewpoint of method. A sample of 112 students (61 right-handed and 51 left-handed) were selected meaningfully from the third, fourth and fifth grades of a girl elementary school in the third educational region of Tehran. Edingburges questionnaire was used for measuring the superior hand. (Crownback Alfa= 0.97, correlation=0.92). The findings show that there is a meaningful relationship between turning status of the right and left among right and left-handed girls in each cycle and superior hand. The results represent that the majority of the left-handed examinees are used to turning to the right and the majority of the right-handed tend to turn to the left while turning that shows there is a meaningful difference between superior hand and turning.

Abstract: 

Cultural intelligence is one of the efficient instruments toward effective performing duties in enviorments having cultural hetergeneity and variety, in reality cultural intelligence is a special ability and skill that assists people to work effectively in multicultural enviorments. This research has been written down for the purpose of identifying relationship between cultural intelligence and Tehran regions traffic police managers performance. This study "from viewpoint of objective is applied and from viewpoint of method is descriptive - survey. Desired community is Tehran traffic police managers, experts and officers that due to limitation of statistical community, the sample volume has been determined by survey method. The main tool of data collection is questionnaire. The results represent the effect of strategy, knowledge and cultural intelligence behaviour components and non-impact of cultural intelligence motivation component on Tehran regions traffic police heads duty performance.

Abstract: 

The main purpose of this study is to observe the effectiveness of the educational games in learning traffic signs and regulations, and how to respect these rules among the 7-12 year-old children in Tehran, and the difference of such an effectiveness between boys and girls. For this purpose, the sample was taken among all of the Tehran elementary school students in 2010-2011. By clustering sampling, 80 students were selected and divided into two experimental (20 girls and 20 boys) and control group. The experimental group was asked to play with a game designed by the researcher for two weeks and then their knowledge of traffic rules and signs were examined through a test designed by the researcher. The results represent that playing educational games by children is effective in learning traffic regulations and signs, and respecting to the law; and using educational games for learning traffic signs is significantly different between boys and girls, whereas using educational games for learning traffic regulations and respecting to the law has no remarkable difference between boys and girls.

Abstract: 

In this article, considering traffice regulations in the main part of freeway, electrical charges micro model has been used for describing drivers, motional behaviour. To observe or failure to observe safe longitudinal distance is the main target of this research. Based on the mentioned model, place positions of vehicles lane changing and chasing has been determined. Comparing vehicles positions in real conditions with their corresponding values in simulation enviorments, adapting level of the model to drivers, motional behaviour has been specified in real conditions. A traffic micro simulator software has been used for simulating the model in this study. Performing stages of the research respectively is "formalizing, calibrating, applying in software enviorment, evaluating and analyzing the model output". Former research data gathered from Karaj- Tehran freeway has been utilized as well. It represents that output results of electrical charges in the mode of inattention to traffic rules for the same data correspond to real conditions. At last, the results gathered from simulation based on observing the law has been compared with real conditions data of EM model credit for calculating average speed and number of vehicles lane change.

Abstract: 

One of the guidelines that usually considered in the field of road safety management is the strategy of road safety improvement from the aspects such as infrastructure and equipment. This strategy can be formulated to enhance the road safety situation and reduce the accidents rate at a specific period of time. The aim of the present study is to evaluate and prioritize the determined short-term objectives in order to improve road safety. For this purpose, we have used an integrated model of linear programming and fuzzy SAW techniques. At first, we considered five criteria affecting the evaluation of objectives and then we obtained the weights of these criteria by using a linear programming model. In the next stage, because of being qualitative criteria, each of objectives has been evaluated by fuzzy numbers regarding these five criteria. Finally, after converting fuzzy numbers to crisp numbers (defuzzification process), we evaluated and prioritized above-mentioned objectives using SAW technique. Regarding selected criteria, this study represents that some objectives have the most priority for implementation. These objectives are: "inserting or repairing the security guards and standard bumpers in the center and sides of roads", "inserting rumble stripes on the roads' asphalt", "installing the speedometer cameras in roads" and "Securing intersections with sufficient signs, lights and signals".
