Abstract: 

The present research aimed to develop a paradigmatic model of reconstruction and development of educational standards in directorate of vocational and educational department in the province of Khouzestan based on Grounded Theory. We used a mixed method research (quantitative & qualitative) and triangulation technique (interviews, questionnaire and archive analysis). Also data were analyzed based on Grounded Theory approach. The results revealed five dimensions such as phenomena of study, casual conditions, impact factors, intervention factors, strategies and outcomes.

Abstract: 

This descriptive study aimed to evaluate the appropriateness of the curriculum (in terms of curriculum elements) of vocational training from the perspective of trainees. In this study, we sought to assess the appropriateness of the curriculum element (aims, content, teaching and assessment) in technical and vocational education. The study population included all the students (male and female) of professional centers of Sanandaj city, out of which a sample of 344 was randomly selected. A researcher-made, 48-item questionnaire based on four main elements of the curriculum was administered to collect data. Descriptive (mean, standard deviation, frequency) and inferential statistics (t test, univariate analysis of variance and Friedman test) were used to analyze the data. The results showed that the technical and vocational education have proportionality with three elements (objectives, content and assessment). The proportionality of other element (method) was reported to be above average level of fitness. Moreover, the value of F was significant and indicated that there exists difference between the proportion of vocational and technical education and curriculum elements.

Abstract: 

EFQM model is rapidly emerged and spread in educational institutions as the most principal self-evaluation model. This model is used as a tool for quality improvement. The Purpose of this study is to evaluate ITC based on this Model. The population comprised all the managers, assistants, teachers, trainers, and the staff of the center. A researcher-made questionnaire was designed based on the characteristics of EFQM model and administered to the sample. The results indicated that all the factors of empowerment domain (i.e. leadership, policy and strategy, staff, participation, resources, processes, and results) are estimated to be above the average level. However, factors of staff affairs management, source management and participations were estimated to be below the average level. Overall, the total calculated score of the center was 252.17 out of 500 scores of empowerment domain which was at the average level.

Abstract: 

The current descriptive study is implemented with the aim of quality evaluation of Erma Advanced Skills Training Center. This center is very well-known and predominant among training centers in Technical and Vocational Training Organization (TVTO). Among 10 workshops and 122 courses held in 2011, 3 courses were selected. Subsequently, 5 input criteria with 10 indicators, 2 process criteria with 7 indicators, and 1 output criteria with 5 indicators were compiled. The findings indicate that the inputs, processes and outputs of evaluated courses are at desirable level. The IPO model can be used for the quality evaluation of other centers in TVTO.

Abstract: 

The research purpose is internal evaluation of public training centers of technical and vocational training organization. This research is applied in terms of goal and survey in terms of method. The population comprised all the staff members working in the executive department of technical and vocational training organization who were selected through census method. We investigate the rate of utility based on the defined goals with 8 main goals and 29 minor goals according to the designed factors. The results showed that the rate of access to the two main goals which were development and improvement of educational operation (quantitative and qualitative) based on the defined standards, and aiding technical & vocational training organization in recognizing and maximizing their potentials are in average utility level. Moreover, other six main goals are in good utility level. However, the most important factors of failure in achieving the educational goals in educational centers are lack of diversity in the implementation methods of technical & vocational training, lack of attention to the diversity of educational applicants and lack of human resources’ efficiency.

Abstract: 

The implicit tip which can be inferred from modular courses is that they follow the Taylorism which its reference can be seen in the fundamental aspects of modular courses. Accordingly, the purpose of this article is to express the complexity of the work environment and employment system as for changes in the pattern of production and the nature of jobs in a new paradigm. The present modular training curriculum (Taylorism) is not efficient in terms of new production structure and market mechanism. In order to get out of this bottleneck, the employability skills training must be considered in curriculums as complementary skills along with specialized training. One of the goals of this article is to explain the aforementioned concepts, another goal is to challenge the present modular training system, providing perspective on improving the planners and policy makers’ attitudes towards curriculum designing and consider the employment skills in designing and developing the modular training. Solutions are also proposed to improve the quality and quantity of modular training.

Abstract: 

Determining the work force demands in different economic sectors is in fact the prediction of work force in order to provide the demand-oriented training and quantitative progressive programs with fore sighting approach. The aim of this article is to predict the work force demands using the extrapolation method and based on the compliance of various jobs with skill training courses in coming years to ensure the benefits of employers, employees and economic enterprises through providing skilled and competent work force. Extrapolation method can predict the combination and working behaviors in the future and apply the practical strategies to cope with them. Findings show future jobs into three categories of obsolete jobs, jobs becoming obsolete, and increasing jobs in the future.
