Abstract:

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of pomegranate powder on the body composition, hematological, and biochemical indices of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Pomegranate peel powder was added to the experimental diets at 0 (control), 1, 2, 3 and 4 % with 3 replicates. In a completely randomized design, 450 rainbow trout with an average weight of 45± 5 g were reared in 15 cement ponds for 60 days. Adding pomegranate peel powder to the fish diet had a significant effect on the carcass quality, hematological, and biochemical parameters (P<0. 05). The results also showed that the ash content of the fish fed with pomegranate peel powder did not significantly differ different (P<0. 05), while other parameters such as moisture, protein, and fat contents were significantly different (P<0. 05). Moreover, the highest number of red blood cells was observed in the control group, but there was no significant difference among other treatments (P<0. 05). In terms of white blood cell count, the highest number was observed in the treatment of 4% pomegranate peel powder and the lowest value was in the control group. Also, the addition of pomegranate peel powder had a significant effect on the biochemical parameters (glucose, cholesterol, triglyceride, protein, and albumin) (p <0. 05). The results of this study showed that the addition of pomegranate peel powder at 4% in the diet would have a significant effect on the blood parameters related to the immune system in rainbow trout.

Abstract:

RNA/DNA ratio analysis (R/D) is used as a quick and efficient tool to determine fish growth status. Therefore, this study aimed to estimate the R/D ratio in larvae produced from crossing of three females with three wild male sturgeons Acipenser persicus breeders caught from the southern shores of the Caspian Sea in Guilan province were done in a 3×3 factorial experimental design. Nine treatments including F1M1, F1M2, F1M3, F2M1, F2M2, F2M3, F3M1, F3M1, F3M2 and F3M3 crosses were created (each treatment with three replications). The larvae obtained from these treatments were kept at the same temperature and nutritional conditions for 120 days. The larvae were sampled at four stages during the experiment to estimate the R/D ratio. Data analysis was performed to determine the normality of the data first and then using one-way and two-way variances of type 3 (TYP III) to determine the interaction between sampling time with R/D ratio and significant tests. Tukey and Excel software, SPSS20, were performed. The results showed that the R/D ratio increased with the growth of fish so that stage K (120 days after hatching) had the highest R/D ratio. The highest R/D ratio of treatment 5 (F2M2) was 0. 939 ± 0. 06 and the lowest was 0. 55 0 0. 02 ng/ml in treatment 2 (F1M2). In conclusion, it can be concluded that the concentration of RNA and DNA increased rapidly with increasing Iranian sturgeon age, followed by an increase in the R/D ratio in fish that responds to fish nutrition status, it can be attributed to dietary changes during larval rearing. Accordingly, it can be concluded that estimating the R/D ratio can provide useful information on the growth and nutrition status of larvae.

In this study, in order to determine the amount of 36 elements contamination in muscle and liver tissues Vimba persa in the southwestern coast of the Caspian Sea (Guilan Province), its relationship with growth indices (length and weight, condition factor and hepatosomatic index) were investigated. This study was conducted to determine the element concentrations in muscle and liver tissues of Vimba persa from autumn 2017 through spring 2018 in the southwestern part of the Caspian Sea (Astara, Anzali and Kiashahr beaches). Samplings were carried out on the seasonal basis using a beach seine, and a total of 82 Vimba persa were caught. Measurements of metals were measured using inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). The higher element concentration reported in the fish muscle and liver belonged to P. The average concentration of metals in the muscle and liver tissues were in the order of S, K, Na and Ca respectively. The relationship between the amount of some elements with growth indices were significant (P<0. 05). The results exhibited that the Ag، Ba، Be، Bi، Ce، La، Li، Mn، Mo، Sc، Sn، Th، Ti، W، Y in all three seasons were below detectable levels.

Abstract:

This project carried out between Augest in 2017 and October in 2018 in the Golestan Dam. A questionnaire was prepared from the household of 4 villages: Gharajeh, Arab Sorang, Agh Abad and Sarjeh Kor. Statistical Methods of Krumbachchr('39')s alpha were used to analyze the questionnaires. The most commonly used scale in social research is the Likert comparison were used to test the validity of the questions. Topsis method was used to investigate the power of effective factors and prioritize it. The Logit model was used to identify descriptive variables and their relationship with event occurrence and eventually an estimate of the probability of occurrence of an event for a particular person. Chi-square test was used to study the effect of gender and age on social and economic parameters. The results of model estimation using the Logit method showed that age, gender and interval variables at each level of 10%, employment at the level of 5%, and migration at the level of one percent, affect the willingness of the people. The results of weighting the criteria using the entropy method indicate that the criteria for improving the economic situation, increasing income in rural communities of the region, employment related to aquaculture, improving the lives of villagers, and increasing aquaculture employment are one of the most important social impacts of this activity. The results of this study showed that fish farming in cages of Golestan Dam can directly affect employment creation, improve economic situation in the region, tourism and reduce rural migration to cities. On the other hand, protein production can have a significant impact on the per capita consumption and nutritional health of residents.

Abstract:

Phytogenic feed additives include herbal powders, essential oils, and plant extracts that, due to their bioactive compounds such as phenols and flavonoids can have numerous beneficial effects on animal health. The purpose of this study is the investigation the effects of diet administration of Myrtus essential oils (Myrtus communis L. ) on biochemical and antioxidant parameters of blood serum of Common carp (Cyprinus carpio). In present research, serum wae exsanguinated from 3 groups of 20 common carp with 6 replications. One group served as control and the other two groups were fed with a diet enriched with M. communis essential oil at concentrations of 500 and 700 mg/kg. Blood samples were taken from the tail of fish in different treatments at the end of the 60-day. Then enzymatic indices such as liver enzymes (aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), total protein, and antioxidant enzyme catalase (CAT) were measured. Statistical analysis showed that ALP and AST levels in fish serum were significantly decreased in the treatment groups compared to the control group (P<0. 05). In contrast to ALT and LDH in the treatment with 500 mg/Kg of essential oil in the diet were higher than in the 700 mg/kg and control groups, but the differences were not significant (P>0. 05). Changes in total protein were also not significant, but in the treatment groups, a decrease in CAT activity was observed (P<0. 05). It can be concluded that the levels of these biochemical changes are not abnormal and affected by stressful conditions and so, these feed additives did not affect fish health.

Abstract:

This study was carried out to evaluate the effects of different levels of fermented daphnia (Daphnia magna) as a partial protein source of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) alevins’ diet and its effect on growth; nutrition and feed efficiency for 8 weeks. Rainbow trout alevins with an initial body weight of 0. 583 ± 0. 197g (Mean ± SD) after acclimating to study condition were fed in 5 treatments each with 3 replicates based on completely randomized design. Four isonitrogenous experimental diets (52. 70% crude protein) including two diets contained fermented daphnia powder and two others contained raw daphnia powder with replacement levels of 20 and 30% were obtained. A diet without daphnia powder was used as control. Five Bacillus strains including: B. subtilis, B. licheniformis, B. polymyxa, B. circulans and B. laterosporus were used for fermenting of daphnia powder. The results showed the significant effect of fermented daphnia powder on growth and feed efficiency in comparison with diet contained raw daphnia powder with the same levels (P<0. 05). Also the treatments fed with the same levels of fermented daphnia had the lowest feed conversion ratio than the other treatments and the control (P<0. 05). The use of Bacillus strains which are able to secret extracellular enzymes and spread with producing spores in addition of fermenting of daphnia powder would be able to inoculate into the alevin gut. This issue while it’ s improving nutrients of daphnia powder would increase micro flora of alevins and finally increase the growth.
