Abstract:

The aim of this study was to investigate the lived experience of 10th grade fPurpose of this investigation is study of first step of biology olympiad exam and it’ s challenges in educational system. Students biology olympiad competition is the main way to recognise and guidance highschool students in biology branch. Suitable education and exam mechanisms can increase efficiency of identify interested and talented persons in biology. In this research scientific articles and analysis of 5 recent years of biology olympiad exams by statistic softwares have been used and exams questions has been checked in number, allocated time, scientific content distribution and adaptation with contents of the new version of textbooks. Results indicate that exam questions repartitions are not match via the most of new textbooks topics. Animal topics 38 percents, cellular and molecular concepts %26, plants %21, genetics %3 and other topics are %12 of biology highschool textbooks contexts. But, for example 20-17 percetage of recent primary step of examination questions related to these topics. It seems regrad to new changes in biology textbooks and enhamncment of experimental sciences field students, it must be applied novel approaches in education and examination which coinciding with international students biology olympiad.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to identify misconceptions and misconceptions about elementary and high school students about plants. Understanding the structure of plant biology is often poor for elementary and junior high school students, and there are many misconceptions and misconceptions about how plants grow and function. In this research, with a descriptiveanalytical approach and using library and documentary sources, the necessary information from related sources was purposefully collected, categorized, analyzed and finally compared. The findings of this study on misconceptions show that many of them are formed in childhood and adolescence and continue at all stages of educational levels. Although students› misconceptions and misunderstandings in the field of life sciences, especially plants, are very high and it will not be possible to prepare a comprehensive list in the short term, but the results of this study can be Use as an educational resource for science and biology teachers and biology students.

Abstract:

Electronic equipment and facilities are used in the education system of the Corona period, in order to facilitate virtual teaching, effective learning of the curriculum and its better understanding by teachers and students. Considering the role of electronic devices on better learning and increasing self-learning skills, spontaneity, responsibility, discussion and also the difference between students ‹ access to electronic facilities in different regions, it is necessary to evaluate the impact of electronic devices on students› learning. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of using electronic tools in biology education using descriptive, library and documentary methods. In this study, the educational facilities and electronic equipment of teachers, students and its effect on learning biology have been studied. Has been introduced more and more effectively. The results show that by studying this research, teachers will be familiar with various software and by using the software introduced in teaching biology, they will be able to demonstrate good teaching in virtual education and the quality of teaching using knowledge. Improve information and communication technology, and help motivate students to form more biology content in students› minds.

Abstract:

Teaching genetics beyond biology textbooks is essential to preparing students for informed discussions about the future of genetic research and how its programs affect human health and the environment. This article is a review and the collected information is related to articles on Google, Google Scholar and Science Direct sites. The articles reviewed in this study are from 1988 to 2021. The purpose of this article is to introduce the educational resources that complement the topic of genetics in high school biology textbooks that are available online and high school experimental science students can benefit from them in prospective health research activities. With the help of these resources, it is possible to describe an integrated approach to genetic education, emphasize the need to increase the scope of information for biology teachers, and encourage the participation of geneticists and health professionals in providing educational resources.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of participatory teaching vs lecturing method in learning science. The research community was all third grade elementary students in Ilam city in the academic year of 2020-2019. The research method was quasi-experimental design with pre-and post-test. while applied research from the purpose point of view. The statistical sample sizes of 42 students of the third grade of elementary school from two classes were obtained )lecturing method 20 people and participatory teaching 22 ones(. Academic achievement test was employed to measure the learning rate of the both groups. The content validity of the questionnaire was determined using experts and teachers’ opinions. ANCOVA )analysis of covariance( was used to analyze statistical data and determine differences. to calculate and compare pre-test and post-test scores in control and experimental groups. Based on the results of analysis of covariance. there was a significant difference between the learning scores of both control and experimental groups. In other words. participatory teaching method has been effective in increasing students› learning and has been more effective than the traditional teaching method.

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to investigate the teaching of biology based on the constructivism model and explain the advantages and necessities of using creativity in teaching this course. During numerous researches in order to review and re-evaluate the educational approaches, traditional approaches have become obsolete and new educational approaches focuse on innovation, communication and knowledge production. It seems that new teaching methods such as constructivist teaching model and application of creativity can facilitate the achievement of these goals. The method of this research is descriptive-analytical, using some valied databases to extract national and international articles in the field of application of the two mentioned methods in teaching of biology. The results show that the constructivism model as a student-centered model, along with the application of creativity directly relates to the understanding of biology as a science with abstract and intangible aspects for most students.
