Abstract: 

The aim of this study was to explain the conceptual framework of the educational levels’ objectives from the perspective of the transformation documents. This type of research was applied in terms of type, and its method was a philosophical research of the first type: Interpretation of the concept. This research tried to answer this question: what conceptual framework does the formulation of the educational objectives follow from the perspective of the transformation documents? And how this framework has been used to formulate the objectives of science and technology area? An inductive text analysis (documentary analysis) method was also used to investigate the transformation documents. Findings from the analysis of the transformation documents showed that the conceptual framework of the educational levels’ objectives is a function of the the holistic approach and it has the capacity to move in an integrative (the link among the areas of education), circular and developmental way within the educational levels. In this orientation, the cognitive and non-cognitive dimensions and the epistemological realms (areas of education) are integrated in the formulation of the objectives, making it possible for the abilities and traits that are gradually acquired in the process of education to be condensed in the form of a layer and to be reflected in the form of the personal identity. An examination of the objectives of science and technology area based on the related conceptual framework showed that the three dimensions of the non-cognitive, cognitive, and epistemological domain have been considered in formulating the objectives. So, the conceptual framework has the potential to be applied in practice.

Abstract: 

This study was a descriptive research with the documentary and content analysis design. Its aim was explaining the components of the competency-based vocational training and analyzing its position in the textbooks of the second cycle high school technical and vocational education. The research population consisted of the competency-based non-technical secondary education textbooks in 2018-2019. The research instrument in the document analysis section was the note sheets and in the content analysis section was the researcher-made checklist. The documentary data was analyzed by the qualitative method and the content analysis data was analyzed using the descriptive statistics indices in the Shannon Entropy Process. The results indicated that the conceptual framework of the vocational education can be formulated into the three components of knowledge, attitude and skills. Also, the sub-components of creativity and innovation, and the diligence with higher frequency were in the first rank and the sub-components of the situation perception and adaptation with less frequency were in the last rank. Also, attention to the components was different in the textbooks, with the highest emphasis on the knowledge (35. 91) and the least emphasis on the attitude (30. 88). Given the changes in the education at the modern age, the use of the Bruner Spiral Curriculum in the curriculum design and revision in the future editions seem to be necessary in order to pay more attention to the less-considered categories.

Abstract: 

This research has been done with the aim of identifying the characteristics of the school management with Islamic approach and presenting the conceptual pattern. It was a qualitative research with grounded theory design. The research tool included the coding tables, questionnaire and semi-structured interview. Data was analyzed using the content analysis technique. The research findings identified 6 dimensions, 21 components and 228 indicators of the school management with Islamic approach. The dimensions and components included: 1. Principal (individual characteristics of the school principal, leadership style); 2. Staffs (selection and recruitment, maintenance, education, communication, evaluation); 3. Students (physical development, cognitive development, moral and religious development, social development, technical and vocational development, artistic development); 4. Sources (social capital, information capital, physical and financial capital); 5. School culture (values, symbols); 6. Parents (education, participation). For the assessment of the validity of the content of the instrument, the indicators of the content validity ratio and content validity index have been used and its reliability (Cronbach's alpha coefficients) was 0. 86. It could be acknowledged that there was no instrument similar to the instrument developed in this study. Also, considering the management and Islamic sources, the conceptual pattern of school management with Islamic approach has been suggested.

Abstract: 

A desirable citizen for formal systems is recognized as a creative and independent element. They use a variety of methods to subdue them. The official education system of the Islamic Republic of Iran also tries to educate its desirable citizen by compiling the documents "Basic Education Transformation Document and 20-Year Vision Document". This article, while identifying the foundations of citizenship preparation and the characteristics of a desirable citizen, seeks to highlight the clear position of the formal education system in Iran through these documents on citizen-student education. Methodologically, this paper is an analytical documentary type in which the content of the documents was analyzed by content analysis method and the samples were selected by theoretical sampling in a compression method. In the findings section, the results of the analysis of the documents show that both documents consider the attainment of divine closure the ultimate goal of education. The extracted categories of religious citizenship in the religious (belief, religious) and cognitive (value, moral, scientific, and cultural) categories both illustrate this type. But in exploring the social citizenship category (social benefit, social political participation, distinct social role-making, and social development origin), they suggest a different path to the goal. on these results, the document sees the transformation of achieving the ideals of a desirable citizen in prioritizing individual, while the perspective document while taking into account differences creates the starting point for citizenship education, Develops appropriate structures and places people in these institutions to formal patterns learning of the ruling system.

Abstract: 

This paper is a research report that aims at conceptualizing a new generation of the entrepreneurial schools with the functions of an accelerator. This study was conducted with a qualitative phenomenological approach. The research sample consisted of 10 experts who were engaged simultaneously in both the theoretical and practical activities in the field of entrepreneurship and school systems. They were selected through a purposeful sampling method and they participated in the study until getting the theoretical saturation. Due to the diverse range of schools, the focus of study was on the technical and vocational schools. Data were collected through the semi-structured interview and they were analyzed by the thematic analysis. The final findings were encoded in the form of 29 open, 13 axial, and 5 selective codes. The results showed that the constructs of "launching the within-school accelerator committed to innovation development", "establishing the entrepreneurship developer network", "the integrated individualization of all school programs in the shared spaces", "inclusive and practical commitment of all school accelerator stakeholders to the entrepreneurship development, " and "the school accelerator risk-taking with specific inputs and the value-added stakeholders" can together explain the school phenomenon as the accelerator.

Abstract: 

Given the fact that “ modeling and applications” and learning them at school and University can better illustrate the application of mathematics in science, technology, and daily life, creating opportunities for students in order to broaden their modeling skills is one of the prominent topics in the mathematics education studies. Hence, in this research, 244 grade 10 female students were taught mathematical modeling problems through two teaching methods the direct teaching method which is teacher-centered, and the operative-strategic method which is student-centered. This study was conducted in 3 private high schools in Mashhad on the first semester of 2013-2014 academic year. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of teaching mathematicalmodeling problems through two different teaching methods on the students’ flow experiences in various mathematical problems (modeling problems, word problems andintra-mathematical problems). The research method was quantitative of quasi-experimental type. Data were gathered by a flow perception questionnaire in the Likert scale. The statistical analysis of the data using a repeated measures ANOVA Type II test indicated that teaching mathematical modeling problems had a beneficial effect on the students’ flow experiences in the real-world problems. In addition, the student-centered environments were good platforms for students to gain these positive experiences. Therefore, using modeling activities by teachers to make students interested in mathematics is important and necessary.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to compare the academic motivation, self-regulation and self-worth of the gifted and normal students. It was a causal-comparative study. The research population consisted of all 11-year-old female students studying in the gifted and normal schools of Karaj educational district 1 in the academic year 1397-98 (totally 2107 people). Using random cluster sampling method, a female school was selected from the schools of Karaj educational district 1. Two classes of 11th grade of that school including 50 students were selected randomly from among the 11th grade classes and a sample of 50 gifted high school students was also selected purposefully. The subjects responded to Valerand and colleagues (1992) questionnaire, Self-Regulatory Learning Questionnaire (Pintrich & De Groot, 1990) and Rosenberg Self-worth Inventory (1965). The purpose of this research was to investigate the following hypothesis: there is a significant difference between the academic motivation, academic self-regulation and self-worth of the gifted and normal students. Data were analyzed by independent samples t-test using SPSS software. Findings confirmed the above hypothesis and showed that the level of the academic motivation, self-regulation and self-worth of the gifted students is higher than the normal students. Therefore, the above results emphasized the need to pay attention to the components of the self-regulation learning, and reinforcing the motivational beliefs and internal values of the normal students, because the correct policy of the educational development is of paramount importance to both the gifted and normal people.
