Abstract

The aim of this research was to study the simple and multiple relationships of ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVE and PSYCHOLOGICAL HARDINESS with sensation-seeking and ACCOUNTABILITY among employees of different branches of a bank in Isfahan .A random sample of 132 was selected. The sample completed the three research questionnaires. By applying correlation and regression analysis, the results indicated that the ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVE had a negative and significant relationship with sensation-seeking (r=-0.38, P<0.05), but a positive and significant relation with ACCOUNTABILITY (r=0.29, P<0.01). Also PSYCHOLOGICAL HARDINESS had a positive and significant relation with sensation-seeking (r=0.59, P<0.01), but had no a significant relation with ACCOUNTABILITY (P>0.05). In addition to this, multiple correlation of ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVE and PSYCHOLOGICAL HARDINESS with sensation-seeking (R=0.62, P<0.001) were higher than each variable alone. Furthermore, multiple correlation of ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVE and PSYCHOLOGICAL HARDINESS with ACCOUNTABILITY (R=0.31, P<0.05) were higher than their simple correlation.
