Abstract

The goal of this research is to analysis the relationship between religious orientation and ORGANIZATIONAL LOYALTY of LIBRARIANS of the ACADEMIC LIBRARIES located in KARAJ. The research method was survey and the data gathering tools were questionnaires of religious orientation and ORGANIZATIONAL LOYALTY. The research population consisted of 108 LIBRARIANS and they all filled out the questionnaires. Data analysis was done using Pearson correlation test. The findings of the research show that there is an inverse significant Relationship between EXTRINSIC RELIGIOUS ORIENTATION and ORGANIZATIONAL LOYALTY. There is also a significant relationship between INTRINSIC RELIGIOUS ORIENTATION and ORGANIZATIONAL LOYALTY, but this relationship is a direct one.According to the other findings, the index that gained the higher mean value in EXTRINSIC RELIGIOUS ORIENTATION was “praying for gaining support and peace”, in INTRINSIC RELIGIOUS ORIENTATION “sensing presence of god in all life" and in ORGANIZATIONAL LOYALTY “internal tendency to continue the cooperation with library”.
