Abstract

 Background & Aims: The fact that MANAGERS are planners of health care system plays an important role in the development of health care and treatment, so it is essential to motivate them. This study was aimed to review the factors affecting JOB MOTIVATION from the MANAGERS’ point of view in teaching HOSPITALs affiliated to Urmia University of Medical Sciences in 2009.Materials & Methods: This descriptive-cross sectional study was conducted on nursing, administrative and executive MANAGERS in teaching HOSPITALs. The data were collected by a valid and reliable questionnaire, consisting of demographic information and asked about psychological, welfare, and physical factors.Non-parametric test of Kruskal-Wallis was used to determine the independent or dependent variables. The data were analyzed by SPSS software.Results: Psychological, welfare, and physical factors were 84.20%, 71.42%, 66.66% respectively. There was no significant difference between the factors affecting JOB MOTIVATION factors (physical, psychological, and welfare), and demographic characteristics of MANAGERS.Conclusion: According to the findings, psychological factors have the most critical role in JOB MOTIVATION. Since psychological factors are inexpensive and have long-term effects, it is very important to have priority in motivating MANAGERS.
