Abstract

Background: Concerning the importance of pain control after cesarean section delivery taking pain analgesic to reduce post surgery pain. Thus the aim of this study is to evaluate the preventive effectiveness of intravenous PARACETAMOL in post partum pain of elective cesarean delivery with SPINAL ANESTHESIA to comparison with control group that do in 1391 in Shahid Beheshti hospital of Isfahan. Methods: This study is a double blind clinical trial that the population Nulliparous pregnant women were included elective CAESAREAN SECTION. The sample for this study was 70 nulliparous women who were randomly assigned (one among) was divided into two groups of 35 patients. The patient in a sitting position at L3, L4, was anesthetized. Patients (group case) received PARACETAMOL 1gr per 100 cc of saline in the same period of time, 20 minutes by injecting and group control received 100 cc of saline in the same period of time and observed of sedation score, pain, heart rate, mean use of analgesia (pethedine), blood pressure systolic and diastolic, nausea and vomiting in patient in during of surgery and recovery and 24 hours after operation in ward. for quantitative variables such as MAP, VAS Frequency of nausea, heart rate, frequency of medical complications after surgery Mann-Whitney test and independent T Was used.Findings: During operation, the incidence of vomiting and VAS pain in any time Intraoperative in the case and control groups was not significantly different. The mean heart rate at 0 and 5 min during surgery was not significantly different between the two groups. But at 15, 30 and 45 minutes the mean heart rate was significantly higher in the control group (P£0.001). Recovery: Average pain intensity based on VAS Recovery at 0, 15, 45 and 60 min were significantly lower among case than control group (P£0.001). But there was no significant difference in 30 minutes. VAS patient satisfaction in the case and control groups was not significantly different. Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that the use of intravenous PARACETAMOL is effective in reducing postoperative pain and reduces the need for drugs.
