Abstract

Introduction: We reported on a case of Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA), formerly named Churg-Strauss syndrome (CSS) with COLON ULCERation, abdominal pain and HEART FAILURE With fatal progression of disease within 2 weeks.case presentation: A 21-year-old woman with a history of bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis was admitted with severe abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting for two weeks before admission Laboratory findings included remarkable leukocytosis and eosinophilia, colonoscopy revealed erosion and ulceration in rectum and sigmoid, . After 2 days severe HEART FAILURE with pulmonary edema occurred with wrist drop, On the basis of the clinical features and histopathological findings, she was diagnosed with CSS and subsequently treatedConclusion: This case was rare presentation of churg- strauss with gastrointestinal involvement and fatal progressive manner, Improved awareness of gasterointestinal EGPA may allow for timely management of this disorder.
