Abstract: 

The purpose of this study is to examine the relation of bilateral Friendship, acceptance of peers, self-Concept and social adjustment with the academic achievement of secondary prep school female third graders in Isfahan. The statistical population for this study comprised all the secondary prep school female third graders in Isfahan studying in public school in the academic years of 2001-2002. The sample population size comprised 139 subjects selected using multi-stage randomized cluster and randomized simple fashions. The instruments used in this study were a group-measurement test, Sarasota self-concept scale, social adjustment scale of California personality test. The mean scores for the previous academic year and for the first current semester of each student were employed as indicators of academic achievement. Based on the findings of the study, the correlation of research variables with academic achievement was found to be significant. Moreover, it was specified that a combination of the three variables: self-concept, social adjustment and peer acceptance was capable of explaining a greater rate of changeability of the total mean score of the students for the previous year. The study indicated that a combination of the two variables: peer acceptance and self-concept was capable of explaining a greater rate of changeability for the mean score of the first current semester. Additionally, there was nor significant relation between self-concept and bilateral friendships and between self-concept and peer- acceptance.

Abstract: 

The purpose of the present study is comparison of the personality characteristics of the Emotion seeking, extraversion and anger of juveniles criminal and habitual boy in Tehran city. In the research a sample of 168 by random sampling method were selected from criminal juveniles' stationary boys in province Tehran reformatore and high school in Tehran. Research method in the study is ex-post-facto descriptive method. The results revealed that: Emotion seeking rate in criminal juveniles is more than habitual boys and the difference is significant An extraversion rate criminal juvenile is more than habitual boys and it is significant An anger rate criminal juvenile is more than habitual boys. There is significant relationship between sensation seeking rate criminal juveniles and anger.

Abstract: 

The present study was designed to investigate impressive factors that attract Students to praying. The statistical population consists of all daily students of three Grades in intermediate section (high school). The sample consist of 1062 subjects that half of them )Yere male. The instruments Used in the study were as following.1- Preliminary questionnaire about attractive factors with 71 items. 2- The main questionnaire made by factor analysis for whole.3- Two specific questionnaire for male and female with 38 items and 52 items respectively. The results obtained from factor analysis for whole sample discover two strong factors that one with 18 items mostly relate to incentive propagandistic motivation and other factor with 13 items indicate directly about educational human relationship with students by staff and teachers in school. The results obtained from discriminant analysis show that three factors can be extracted for both sex separately. The internal consistencies for general, male and female questionnaire were 90%, 90% and 89% respectively. In regard to evaluate the hypothesis, some statistical methods such as t-test, one way variance and the scheffe test were applied. Analysis indicates That there is significant difference between sex in GQ p<0.028 and the redundancy was For female subjects. Another comparison for SES groups cleared that students in Middle class obtained significantly higher scores than low and high SES Students. To this end a comparison among three academic grades show no significant discrepancy in score of the subjects.

Abstract: 

This article reports a research on minimizing reading failure through early identification of at - risk reading disability children. The aim of the study is to explore the theoretical model of proximal causes of reading acquisition among children. The research hypotheses were tested on 336 primary school students in Mashhad chosen through classified random sampling method. The collected data has been analysed by statistical methods such as ANOVA and Regression. It was found that in addition to the basic factors such as motivation, IQ, memory, language background, and the meta-linguistic abilities (phonological decording, phonological awareness, syntactic awareness, and semantic awareness) are affecting on reading ability.

Abstract: 

Applied Educational Programes (AEP) are those programs which aim at providing vocational and job skills and also promoting job skills among employees. As such programs have a significant role in the development of the country, the High Council cultural Revolution established the High Council for Applied educational programs to develop a relevant structure and content for these programs. This paper investigated the models for educational needs assessments in order to identify all applied programs and the process of curriculum designing in two sectors (Industry and Agriculture). Results indicate a lack of sufficient attention by policy maker organizations and institutions which run applied educational programs. Major shortcomings in this regard are lack of attention to the aims and objectives of these programs (particularly the self employment), lack of the use of relevant models for needs assessment in identifying the courses and also lack of enough attention to models for skill-centered curriculums by educational planners.

Abstract: 

This research project was carried out to localize the information about developmental psychology. A sample of 240 guidance and high school female students who were selected on a cluster basis to fill in a 12 part questionnaire. Findings indicate that the most important biological change, that is maturity, happens during the age of 12 and 14, young adult receive their information from their parents, and their reaction to maturity is associated with fear. With respect to social characteristics, they consider traveling and excursion their best recreations.

Investigates information needs of teacher-researchers in education zones in Shiraz. A survey method using questionnaire is applied for data collection. research population covers 72 teacher-researchers. Findings show that research activities are the most important aim for searching information, particularly scholarly information. Teacher- researchers use formal sources (books, research reports and periodicals) and informal sources (consulting their colleagues) to access information. Most respondents prefer printed sources. Internet and data bases are among the most important sources for electronic information searching and unfamiliarity with computerized systems are the most important factors for not accessing information respectively. There is not a significant difference between factors such as educational field, course level, and teaching and information behavior and teacher- researchers use a similar pattern for searching information.
