Abstract: 

The goal of the present study was to investigate the emotional intelligence among all managers working in Islamic Azad University (IAU). 554 managers were randomly selected from among all the IAU managers. Siberia-Shring emotional intelligence questionnaire was used to collect data. The LSD follow-up analysis indicates that there is a significant difference among the emotional intelligence indices among the managers in all districts (p£0.05, F=2.297). The mean score of emotional intelligence in district 1 is less than that in 2 and 8, district 2 is more 3, 6, 10, 12, district 5 is more than 6, district 6 is less than 7, 8, district 7 is more than 6, district 8 more than 10, 12.

Abstract: 

In order to efficiently do planning in our Islamic society regarding religious belief, how to create and reinforce it among youngsters, the need to construct an instrument was felt. To do so, a religious belief scale was constructed and was given to the sample group consisting of 656 students (348 boys and 308 girls). They were all selected using stratified random sampling. In this descriptive method of research, a 47 item researcher-made scale was administered. As the questionnaire included seven subcategories, factor analysis was used to check the correlation of each item with the whole questionnaire. The weak items were deleted. This left us with final 40 items. Reliability was calculated through Cronbach Alpha (a=0.90). The scale's validity was proved high by calculating content validity (expert opinions), criterion-referenced validity, and construct validity. The findings show that there is a significant difference between the religious belief among boys and girls (Girls showed a higher religious belief). However, no significant difference was found among students in different fields of study.

Abstract: 

The main objective of the present study is to analyze the personality traits and professional and scientific qualifications of successful and unsuccessful counselors. The population of the research consisted of all faculty members of universities, psychologists, counselors being employed in both public and private sectors of Tehran Province and suburbs. 400 were selected using simple and stratified random sampling. A 36 item questionnaire was administered to measure their personality traits and professional and scientific qualifications. The findings indicated that: 1) there is a significant difference between the mean observed ranks of the successful counselor and unsuccessful ones from their personality trait’s perspective. 2) There is a meaningful difference between the mean observed ranks among successful counselors and unsuccessful ones from their qualifications’ perspective.

Abstract: 

The main objective behind the present study is to identify the level of total quality management in Islamic Azad University Roudehen Branch. The population in this survey consists of all the university's deputies, administrative managers, and heads of administrative departments. 78 were randomly selected. Administering a 32 item researcher-made questionnaire, data were collected. The results of the applying t-test indicated that components of management and leadership, staff, strategic planning, telecommunication, organizational affairs, and socio-cultural component were found to be the obstacles for the implementations of TQM in IAU, Roudehen Branch. In other words, referring to the t-test index and the 99% level of significance, it can be concluded that there is a meaningful difference between theoretical and experimental means regarding the obstacles for the implementations of TQM.

Abstract: 

The purpose of the present research was to study the relationship between parents' child rearing practices and youngsters' mental health in Islamshahr. The population of research was comprised of all high school students in Islamshahr. 300 (150 girls and 150 boys) were selected through cluster random sampling. 12 hypotheses were formulated about the relationship between parents' child rearing practices (democratic, autocratic, and neglectful) and youngsters' mental health (physical symptoms, anxiety and sleeplessness, and disorder in social functions and depression) together with 4 items related to productivity value of child rearing practices in youngsters' mental health.  Baumrind's Child Rearing Practices Test and GHQ-28 test were administered. To analyze the data, Pearson correlation of coefficient and regression analysis were used. The findings indicated that there is a negative correlation between democratic child rearing practice and different aspects of mental health (physical symptoms, anxiety and sleeplessness, and disorder in social functions and depression). Moreover, there is a positive correlation between autocratic child rearing practices and neglectfulness with different aspects of mental health. The result of regression analysis also indicates that.

Abstract: 

This study sought to measure the level of alienation among students and its effect of academic failure on it. Referring to the Bourdieu's theory about "confirmation and unification" or “segregation”, "mental structure" and also Foko's theory of "discipline" and "punishment", the research hypotheses were formulated. This non-experimental research was a correlational study. Data were collected once and there was no control group. Research population consists of all BA students in Islamic Azad University Roudehen Branch. 425 students were randomly selected as the members of sample group. A researcher-made questionnaire with its face validity measured was administered. Cronbach Alpha was used to measure the reliability of two variables of "alienation" and "academic failure" (a= 0.77 and a=0.65 respectively). The findings indicated that there is a direct relationship between academic failure and alienation

Abstract: 

The main purpose of the present research is to study the relationship between bureaucratic values and teachers’ feeling about schools environment in Shiraz high schools. This study deals with the relationship between bureaucratic bond and teachers’ feeling, the most effective aspect in giving rise to this feeling, and also the interactive effect of different aspects of this bond on teachers’ feeling. The research instruments were School Values Questionnaire (Type 1) and Pang’ (1996) Teachers’ Feeling Questionnaire. They were administered to 418 high school teachers in Shiraz who were selected using simple random sapling. Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient, Multi-variate Regression, and Variance Analysis were applied to analyze the collected data. The results of the study indicated that:1. The negative relationship between aspects of bureaucratic bond and teachers’ feeling.2. The most effective aspect of bureaucratic bond with teachers’ feeling is bureaucratic rationality.There is no significant relationship between the interactive effects of the aspects of bureaucratic bond on teachers’ feeling.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this research was to study the application of learning strategies by successful and unsuccessful students in Islamic Azad University Lamard Branch. To this end, learning strategies related to motivation, attitude, time management, emotional peace, concentration, information processing, scanning, study skills, and self-assessment were investigated. To collect data, LASSI questionnaire was administered to successful and unsuccessful BA students studying in Business management, English language teaching, chemistry engineering, Primary school teacher training, politics, industrial management, and English language literature. They, then, were analyzed using descriptive statistics methods (table, frequency, graph) and inferential statistics (t-test, one-way and two-way ANOVA Regression analysis, correlation of coefficient). The findings of the study indicated that there is a significant relationship between successful and unsuccessful students. In other words, applying learning strategies by successful students is relatively more.
