Abstract: 

The present research aimed to study the relationship between cultural intelligence and computer literacy with classroom management style among Shahid Rajaee teacher training university students. Statistical population was all teacher students of Shahid Rajaee teacher training university (800 people). According to Klein (2005), sample size concluded 330 teachers (153 male and 177 female), who were selected through simple random sampling method. Three questionnaires included Cultural Intelligence (CQ), Computer Literacy Self Assessment Scale (CLSAS) and classroom management styles were applied. The reliability of these questionnaires has been 0.97, 0.98 and 0.85 respectively. The statistical method, in order to analizing data, included descriptive statistic (mean, percent, frequency) and inferential statistic (logistic regression). Results showed that there was a significant negative relationship between strategic and behavioral cultural intelligence and teacher-centered classroom management style. A positive significant relationship between computer literacy and student-centered classroom management style. Strategic and behavioral cultural intelligence and computer literacy predicts teachers interactional classroom management style in.

Abstract: 

In the era of information and communication technology with all available new technologies in the field of education, students are subject to more challenges and risks comparing to the previous generations and they do need to learn new fields of knowledge and must have more comprehensive skills than before. The main objective of this study was to study the impact of educational software in improving the basic learning skills of students in the arts curriculum. The study has been conducted on fifth-graders of elementary schools in Amol (2011). In this quasi-experimental research, the sample classes were randomly selected out of approximately 150 classes of fifth grade elementary school students. The samples consisting of two classes with almost 50 students, were divided into two groups: experiment and control. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire for pre-test and post-test data. To analyze the results of pre-test and post-test scores, the descriptive statistics including mean and standard deviation and also the inferential statistics (t test) was used for independent groups. By comparing the pre-test scores of two groups, it was observed that the two groups had no significant difference in the skills. Whereas comparing the scores of post test, it was observed that the performance of groups was significantly different when using the educational software i.e. the use of educational software can improve the basic skills of students for arts curriculum at fifth grade elementary school level.

Abstract: 

The present research aimed at studying the relationship between the use of ICT skills with self-directed components in students’ learning processes in Islamic Azad University, Chalus Branch. Considering the nature and purpose, it was an applied research, but it was a descriptive correlational in terms of method. The statistical population included MA level students in the major of curriculum planning, financial management, law, Persian literature and political science in 2011-2012 academic year. Among them, 200 subjects were selected through random stratified method as the sample. A researcher-made questionnaire with a reliability index of 0.775 along with a standard one relating to self-directed learning were used for data collection. Pearson correlation and regression were used to analyze the collected data. The findings showed that self-directed variations in learning can be explained by ICT components. There was also a significant correlation between familiarity with soft-ware and interest in learning among students.

Abstract: 

The present age has been called the age of information and communication because of the expansion and development of information and communication technology and its various consequences. The goal of this research was to determine the factors effective on using ICT in small and medium-sized enterprises through structural equation modeling. The research method was a descriptive-correlational one. The statistical population of the study included the owners and managers of small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises in Kermanshah and Ilam provinces. A stratified sampling method was used to select the statistical sample (n=202). A researcher-made questionnaire along with a version of digital literacy of Washington university were used to collect data. The content validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by a panel of ICT experts’ views. Its reliability was estimated 0.87 through Chronbach Alpha coefficient. The findings revealed that understanding the usefullness of using ICT, acceptance of ICT application, digital literacy and the intention to use ICT, explain a large proportion of variance of ICT application.

Abstract: 

The aim of the study was to examine the effective factors in stabilizing virtual in service training courses from teachers view point in Sari in 2011. The research method was a survey one. The statistical population included 5 IT experts, 35 teaching in-service instructors and 220 teachers. Statistical sample were selected through stratified random sampling method based on Morgan table. A researcher-made questionnaire was used as a data gathering tool. The validity of questionnaire was confirmed by the experts and its reliability was calculated 0.80 through Cronbach Alpha Coefficient. Data analysis was done by SPSS software using both descriptive and inferential statistic including one sample t test, t independent group and regression analysis test. The results indicated that the three factors, namely, software, hardware and human resource were significantly effective in stabilizing virtual in-service training courses. In addition, although software factors were more effective in stabilizing in-service training, there were significant differences between teachers and instructors viewpoints.

Abstract: 

This study was designed to study the relationship between Internet addiction and academic achievement and personality characteristics of learners. The research method was a descriptive - correlational one. The statistical population included all high school students in Semnan province in 2011-2012 academic year. Based on Krejcie and Morgan table, 800 subjects were selected through stratified random sampling method. Data were gathered using young Internet addiction questionnaire and NEO personality survey. The data were analyzed through SPSS 16 software. The results showed that there was significant difference between boy and girl students in using internet. In addition, the average of using internet by boys is more than that of girls. The correlation between Internet addiction and Neuroticism and Agreement was significant and positive, however there was a significant reverse correlation between Internet addiction and extrovertism and conscientious characteristics. There was no significant relationship between Internet addiction and openness. The results also showed that personality characteristics were effective and predictive factors in using Internet.

Abstract: 

This research was performed to study the application of information technology on improving secondary students learning in math and English courses. The research method was a semi-experimental and the statistical population of the research included 3828 students from 16 schools, that is, all the secondary girl students in Bablo in 2011-2012 academic year. From among the schools equipped with ICT in statistical population, two math classes and two English classes of second grade were chosen as experimental and control groups through simple random sampling method and performed per-test and post-test on them. The data were gathered using achievement tests that confirmed by related educational groups. The gathering data were analyzed through Co-Variance analysis test and Bonferroni’s post hoc test. The results revealed that the application of information technology had positive impact on the learning of secondary students in math and English courses in Babol city.

Abstract: 

The present research was performed to compare the effectiveness of studying through conceptual map with traditional method on reading comprehension. The research method was experimental with a pre-test and a post-test. Thirty-eight third-year high school students were selected among all third-year students in Torbate-Heydarie in 2011-2012 academic year through random clustering method in experimental and control group. The research instruments included experimental texts, comprehension test and a researcher-made conceptual map. Both groups participated in comprehension pre-test of experimental texts. Then, the experimental group studied the pre-planned conceptual maps along with experimental texts. The control group also studied the experimental texts without using conceptual map. After performing the comprehension post-test, resulting data were analyzed using co-variance analysis test. The findings showed that presenting subjects with pre-planned conceptual maps (experimental group) significantly improved their comprehension compared to control group. In addition, to improve students comprehension, it is useful for them to study the texts along with the pre-planned conceptual maps.
