The present study focused on 56 fourth-grade primary schoolboys in educational district 3, Alborz province who were selected through multi-stage cluster random method. It was done by experimental method having pre-test, post-test, control and experimental groups. The sample was randomly assigned to two groups of control and experimental after being paired in variables as IQ (Rion Test), gender, age and last year GPA. The students’ learning extent in math, science, geography and dictation was assessed through a 40-item researcher-made achievement test with a convenient index of reliability and validity before and after administering plays. The data gathered were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistic. The results indicated that mixing games such as Haftsang, drawstring, squash, chair play, and puppetry had a positive effect on improving the students’ learning respectively of dictation, math (divide lesson), geography (climatic areas lesson and directions), and science (respiratory system).
