Abstract: 

The aim of this research was to study the relationship between meta-cognitive beliefs and schemas of obsessive-compulsive symptoms of Islamic Azad University of Ahvaz students. The research was of correlational type with statistical population of 384 (192 females and 192 males) IAU, Ahvaz Branch students. Measurement instruments were: MCQ-30, SQ-SF, and MOCI questionnaires. The results indicated that there was relationship between primary maladaptive schemas and mental-practical obsession (p=0.003 and r=0.18) and between meta-cognitive beliefs and mental-practical obsession in male and female students (r=0.22 and p=0.000). The results of the multivariate regression analysis, correlation coefficients for linear combination of multiple entry predictor variables of early maladaptive schemas and meta-cognitive beliefs Obsessions-Ahvaz Branch, Islamic Azad University, r=0.204 and r2=0.114 is in the p=0.0000 is significant, so the researcher decided to reject the hypothesis. According to the coefficient of determination (r2) is specified criterion variables predicted 11% of the variance (obsession -action) is anticipated.

Abstract: 

Educational achievement is affected by many factors which can be examined in two broad categories: individual differences and educational systems. Individual differences refer to personal traits such as motivation and documentation style. This study was done to examine relationship between instructor style and achievement motivation in students. The sample included 400 students of IAU, Qom branch chosen through simple random method. To gather data, ASQ and Hermand’s achievement motivation questionnaires and also GPA of students were used. To analyze data, descriptive and inferential statistics were used. Results indicated that there was not significant correlation between instructor style and its components and educational achievement. There was significant correlation between educational achievement and achievement motivation. There was significant difference between boys and girls in respect to instructor style. They were not different in respect to achievement motivation.

Abstract: 

The purpose of the present study was to identify and measure the factors effective on organizational happiness among the employees. A case study of Islamic Azad University, West Tehran Branch was under focus. A sample group of 85 participants were selected using Morgan’s table and cluster/random sampling method. Data analyses showed the effect of self-esteem on organizational happiness was 0.232, that of commitment between employees and organization was 0.276, that of comparability of employees’ culture was 0.744, that of trust and belief among the employees was 0.409, and that of cooperation among the employees was 0.823. Regression analysis also confirmed that 71.2% of the changes in organizational happiness of the employees were caused by the factors under study. Among the factors, “cooperation between the employees and the organization” was the most effective factor. This paper concludes with recommendations to improve vivacity among the employees of Islamic Azad University, West Tehran Branch.

Abstract: 

This research sought to investigate factors effective on creating and enforcing organizational commitment in Alborz province school managers. The statistical population included all male and female managers (1094) from among whom 270 people were selected using simple random method. The research was of descriptive-survey type and practical. Measurement tools were demographic and also a researcher-made questionnaire. To analyze data, multi-variate regression was used and the results indicated that factors of occupational satisfaction, organizational justice, humane relations, competency, establishing reward and punishment system based on efficiency score, sharing in decision making and aiming, occupational security, management style and gender were effective on organizational commitment.

Abstract: 

The present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the group training with multiple Lazarus approach on marital adjustment and happiness of women. The population included all women refering to social working clinic of Aftab Shargh in Islamshar. 24 subjects were selected avaliable sampling and randomly assigned in groups of experiment and control. Methodology was semi experimental and design of pretest- posttest with control. Data were collected by questionnaire of marital adjustment and analyzed by covariance. Research findings indicated that interventions based on multiple Lazarus approach group training can significantly increase marital adjustment of women (p<0.05). Research results provide some evidence that the group training with multiple Lazarus approach is an appropriate skill for recovering marital adjustment of women. Therefore, in order to increseae marital adjustment of women, it may be useful to recover the variaty dememntions of cognotive, effective and behavioral triats.

Abstract: 

The aim of this research was to investigate the relationship between Parenting practices and both variables of perfectionism and self-regulation and to compare it among students with single-child and many-children families. The statistical population included the entire high school students across Tehran of whom 486 female students were selected as the statistical sample using the Multi-stage random sampling. The research tools were multidimensional perfectionism scale (MPS), self-regulated learning (SRL) by Pintrich and DeGroot model, Parenting Questionnaire (Baumrind, 1973). Findings showed that a significant relationship exists between parenting practices and both variables of perfectionism and self-regulation, i.e. a positive significant relationship exists between authoritative parenting practice and self-regulation, whereas a negative significant relationship exists between permissive and authoritarian parenting practices and self-regulation. Further, there was a positive significant relationship between Self-oriented and socially oriented perfectionism and the authoritative and authoritarian parenting practices. There was a significant difference between parenting practices and perfectionism and self-regulation among students with single-child and many children families. In general, parents' emotional engagement with their children affects severely children's self-regulation skills and perfectionism whereby as the parents were the first teachers for children and their influence on children in the early childhood was of typical, so the parents can adopt the correct way of training in dealing with children in order to use rearing styles upmost.

Abstract: 

Psychological interventions can have an important role in improving general health of type I insulin dependent diabetic patients. This research goal was to investigate the effectiveness of group training of happiness on general health of type I insulin dependent diabetic patients. This research was done through experimental method with pre-test, post-test, and pursuit stages with witness group. The sample included 24 type-I insulin dependent diabetic patients diagnosis who were chosen by a simple random way. A questionnaire about the general health of type I insulin dependent diabetic patients was used for collecting data which was completed within pre-test, post-test, and pursuit by individuals. Happiness training was done during five sessions on a test group and to this time while the frequent medical treatments continued in each of both group, the witness group were placed in expectation list for psychology treatment. Data were analyzed using covariance analysis test. Mean score of general health in test group decreased meaning fully as compared with the witness group (p<0.05). The results suggested the effectiveness of happiness training on general health improvement of type I insulin dependent diabetes patients.

Abstract: 

The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between spiritual intelligence and conflict management with work - family conflict among married dual-earner staff of Islamic Azad University. The method of research was correlational. Using random cluster sampling, 109 married staff members whose wives were also employed were selected. Data were gathered using spiritual intelligence questionnaire (Abdollahzade and et al), Robin’s conflict management questionnaire, and Netmayer work-family scale. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise regression analysis. The results showed that there was negative and significant relationship between spiritual intelligence and work-family conflict (p<0.05). There was positive and significant relationship between avoidance strategy of conflict management and negative and significant relationship between problems solving strategy of conflict ant work-family. But there was no significant relationship between control strategies of conflict management and work-family. Also the result of regression analysis showed that about 31percent of work-family variance was explained by spiritual intelligence, problem solving strategy and avoidance strategy of conflict management.
