Abstract: 

The present study was conducted to evaluate the satisfaction level of patients referred to the dental clinic of Dentistry College. The purpose of this study was to view each patient’s satisfaction regarding to the activities of different departments of the dentistry college. The Results of this study could be used for improvement of the activities of each department and finally providing better satisfaction level for the referring patients. The designed study was based on questionnaire and patients were selected randomly. Each questionnaire included the level of satisfaction of the referred patient and other independent variable. The analysis of the data was determined by using spss software. The most satisfaction level of the referred patients was the sanitation of equipments (3.09%) facilities (3.03%), bedside manner (2.97%), manner of encounter reception (2.81%), patients payment satisfaction level (2.89%), satisfaction of quality of the treatment (2.69%), satisfaction of manner of the encounter clerk reception of the different departments (2.62%),satisfaction of visiting schedule (2.46%),the lowest level of satisfaction of the referred patient was on the course of dental treatment (2.36%). The most satisfaction level of patient for the departments of radiology, periodontology, and orthodoncy was 28.3%, 26.4% and 26.1% respectively. In the present study, the most satisfaction level of the referred patient was attributed to the equipments and facilities of the dental clinic. It is suggested that in order to promote the improvement of dental service for satisfaction of the patient, the shorest period of treatment, supervising of the teaching staff during the patient treatment is suggested.

Abstract: 

The first day of clinical education activities in a new clinical environment are almost always considered as a stressful event for nursing students. This study conducted to detection mental health nursing students and its relationship with some individual indicators and the first clinical education experience. In this cross – correlation study, sampling was in the census on 24 first year nursing students (arrival to nursing school and end of second semester) in Ahvaz Jundishapour University of Medical Sciences. 22 people completed questionnaires were enrolled. Data collection instruments included demographic and General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28) respectively. After data collection, data extract and analyze by using of descriptive statistics and inferential methods: paired t test and independent t test. The results of present study showed no association between any of the profile with GHQ scores (P>0.05). But the results indicated an association between positive or negative feeling pre-clinical education experiences and mental health. Students responses to test the GHQ-28 on arrival, showed that 25% percent (6) of all studied students (24people), were assessed as vulnerable students, After the first experience of clinical education, 41% (9) of 22 of them were diagnosed as the vulnerable students group. Statistic analysis showed significant difference between the GHQ scores before and after training. Regarding to obtain findings, nursing students become more vulnerable for mental health after the first clinical training. It seems necessary, do some good programs to make training less stressful atmosphere in the clinical environment.

Abstract: 

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between self-efficacy, quality of learning experience and its components with academic burnout. Components of quality of learning experience include flexibility of course, resource, context and flexibility of the relationship between student and professor. The sample was chosen by stratified random sampling method and it involved the number of 233 students of Allamme Tabatabaei University of Tehran. Data collecting was done by Newmann’s quality of learning experience questionnaire (1990), general self-efficacy questionnaire of Sherer et al. (1982) and academic burnout questionnaire of Breso et al. (1997). Data analysis was performed by SPSS-16. The results showed that all the relationships were significant. Implications of the results are debated in this study.

Abstract: 

The educational psychologists believe that learning conditions must be so organized that every universal based on their ability to pay the learning activity, so Many studies have been done the so far in the electronic learning system combination (merger and targeted training in person E-Learning). The aim of this Study is to assess knowledge and View of faculty members about short term and long term strategies of combine e-learning. In this cross-sectional study, with simple random selected of faculty members in Ahvaz Jundishapour University of Medical Sciences, we selected 50 faculty members. The number of faculty based on pilot sampling and sample size formula. The tool for information gathering was a valid and reliable questionnaire made by the researcher. After completed questionnaire, data analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics in SPSS v.13. Findings showed that 50% of faculty members were aware of e-learning process and 95% of these faculty members considered that train teachers to provide professional e-learning as the best solution for long-term strategy and 83% of faculty members believed that design software provider of education services attractive and friendly to Iran as the best solution also was significant relationship between knowledge and experience. Considering the unavoidable limitations of electronic techniques, the use of IT for increasing the quality of learning, ease of access to high volumes of information, reduced training costs, increase quality of care, health promotion materials and science teachers that the most important achievements in information technology.

Abstract: 

In this study an attempt has been made to investigate the pedagogic barriers to the development of electronic education (via the Internet) at Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences (AJUMS) during 2010-2011. This is descriptive-sectional study whose population involved the whole faculty members of AJUMS. The researchers prepared a questionnaire with a reliability of 96% which was obtained through Cronbach's a, and its validity was confirmed by specialists in this field. As for the calculation of the results and ranking the barriers, Chi square test and Friedman test were euseded respectively. The findings of this research suggested that all the studied items (evaluation, learner-based, communication tools, flexibility, and the management of programs and resources) are among the barriers to the development of electronic education at AJUMS.

Abstract: 

Determining medical students' attitudes towards the topic selection and choosing the supervisor can be helpful in assisting programmers to better reform and promote the level of research in the field of health in the country. The goal of this study is the investigation of criteria which medical students of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences select for choosing the thesis topic and supervisor. In this descriptive-analytical study, 123 medical students that most of them being in the internship stage were surveyed. Data gathering tool was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by using Chi-square test or Fisher's exact test with SPSS software.65.9% of students disinterest to dissertation writing. The most prevalent criterion for choosing the thesis topic and supervisor of students was "uncomplicated and short-term topic" and "cooperator supervisor for finishing dissertation". Interest to dissertation writing, time of the topic selection by students and topic selection by students themselves were factors influenced students' attitudes. Majority of medical students want to finish their dissertations as soon as possible. Disinterest to dissertation writing, military services and residency exam are some reasons of this fact. Financial and spiritual supports and making basic changes in planning of medical education, military service and residency exam has positive influence on the attitudes of medical students and improve the quality of their dissertations.

Abstract: 

The teaching model is a type of research on teaching and learning. In educational activities, teachers should strive Using methods and equipment, provide the conditions for student learning In conventional teaching, nursing care the latest study comes so the student is not able to communicate between care and disease. The Purpose of this study was determination effect of provide nursing care and signs simultaneously with using algorithm of disease on learning Nursing care has been from the students viewpoint. This study was conducted over several semesters in pediatrics nursing 2. Results in one class (33 members) were assessed in 2009. Key contents (definition of disease - path physiology - symptoms – treatment and nursing care) extracted and written text box in word 2007 software and was in place at the right place in Algorithm. The Students could guess the outcome of the display contents and explore every issue actively. Also were treatment or cares with any signs or symptoms immediately expression. In final Exam day were asked the suggestion of students with a questionnaire. Findings indicate that students taught this way in the Summary and yet its benefits, the amount of learning in the classroom, speed presentations, recalling the time to review the lesson materials for exam preparation between 50% to 96% have a good level of sumptuous using the algorithm can be trained to the level of care at the nearest possible patient problems also, with the active participation of students in the classroom learning experience meaningful philosophy of care.

Abstract: 

Radiology is one of the basic sciences in dentistry and has a fundamental role in diagnosis and treatment plan. Radiographic reports have several advantages for dental student for example they must carefully examine the teeth and surrounding tissues, and probably increase the ability of student to detects caries and periodontal disease .In this study a class of thirty-one dental student was divided into a group wrote report (n=16) and a group did not write report (n=15). Students were assessed with a questionnaire that consisted of 12 periapical and bitewing films were evaluated. The scores of diagnosis of caries and periodontal disease were calculated separately for each student. Measure of average and standard deviation of caries and periodontal disease knowledge were not significantly different between two groups. It seems to write the radiographic report did not has significant effect in improving the ability of student to diagnosis of caries and periodontal disease. However the radiographic report has advantages that result of this study does not lessen the value of benefits.
