Abstract: 

Requirement for effective response to environmental changes and gaining a competitive advantage in sports manufacturing corporations is achieving to organizational agility. The purpose of present study is to determine the effects of organizational agilitiy on organizational performance in sports manufacturing companies. The number of sports manufacturing companies was 70, of each one 3 persons (manager, marketing manager, and sales manager) were selected as sample. The results of data analysis indicated that there was a significant relationship between enterprise agility and its dimensions and performance of sports manufacturing corporations. One-sample t test results also showed that the organizational agility and its dimensions have desirable situation in sport manufacturing corporations. The results showed that the model for the effect of organizational agility on organizational performance in sports production companies enjoys a good fitness. Also, the results showed that organizational agility can appropriately predict 38% of the variations of organizational performance in sport manufacturing corporations. Generally, sports manufacturing companies should improve the components of organizational agility in order to enhance organizational performance.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to provide a model for the effects of delegation management on human capital empowerment and effectiveness in sport organizations. The study was descriptive and correlational. The population of the study included all sport organization managers (n=450) of Isfahan province. According to Cohen's formula (2000) a sample of 207 people was selected randomly from the population. Inventories used for data collection were: principles of effective delegation Industrial Society (1996) (a=0.96), Spreitzer (1995) (a=0.84), and Hsu’s organizational effectiveness (2002) (a=0.86). The content validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by experts. For data analysis, descriptive and inferential statistics as well as structural equation modeling were used. Path analysis suggests that the model of the relationship between delegation and human capital empowerment and effectiveness is favorable in sports organizations. Also, according to the regression model, the relationship between delegation and effectiveness, choice, and decision-making components, as well as the relationship between empowerment and decision-making component were significant. In general, senior managers in sports organizations could improve the employees’ confidence and effectiveness through delegation and offering decision-making opportunities.

Abstract: 

The present study explores the role of organizational culture and knowledge management in organizational intelligence of the Iranian Ministry of Sport and Youth staff. The research was descriptive, conducted according to survey method. The statistical population of the study was the Sport and Youth Ministry staff (N=746). Using Krejcie and Morgan table, sample size was calculated to be 255 people who were selected through simple random sampling. Results showed that organizational culture and knowledge management had a direct effect on organizational intelligence. Also, organizational culture had a direct effect on knowledge management of employees. According to the results, it seems that in order to improve organizational intelligence among employees of the Ministry of Sport and Youth, it is necessary to pay special attention to the culture and knowledge management of the organization.

Abstract: 

This study aimed to analyze the prediction of Physical Education (PE) teachers’ occupational adjustment according to implementation of the quantum management. The method of this study was descriptive (correlation), and study population included all of the PE teachers in three educational levels in Isfahan in 1393 (2014) (N=559). The method of sampling was stratified random sampling according to total population of PE teachers employed in all of six educational regions of Isfahan. Two hundred and twenty-six persons were selected for participating in this research. The results, based on regression analysis, indicated that PE teachers’ occupational adjustment was affected by various dimensions of quantum management.

Abstract: 

This study aimed at identifying the factors influencing the brand equity of professional football teams. The design of the study was descriptive with practical goals. The study population comprised of two groups of people: sport marketing experts and sport managers, and the fans of Esteghlal football club. Forty-nine people were selected through purposive sampling from the first group, and another 184 people were selected through convenience sampling from the second one. The results of the study showed that from the managers, experts, and fans perspectives, the factors affecting the brand equity of Esteghlal Football Club were, in descending order, the fans loyalty, team success, team stars, stadium, club history, management, head coach, media, sponsors, and logo.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the quality of inputs of undergraduate degree in physical education and sport sciences in Islamic Azad universities in region one. The study method was descriptive and survey. The sample consisted of faculty members (n=80), head of departments (n=8), and students (n=151). We withdrew sampling in sub-population of faculty members and heads of departments due to the low number of people and used census method. We also used relative stratified random sampling in sub-population of students. To do the study with Delphi method, we prepared questionnaires in three different versions for professors, students and heads of departments. The validity and reliability of questionnaires were also confirmed. The results of evaluation showed that three factors including students, professors and administrators were relatively favorable, but the factor of staff was unfavorable situation. Finally, some suggestions were made to improve the quality of physical education and sport science field.

Abstract: 

This study aimed to identify and prioritize barriers to the development of football in Yazd province. This study used a descriptive survey. The study sample consisted of 68 football managers, coaches, and players from Yazd province. This research is a survey-based study and seeks for a practical application. The data was collected using a researcher-made questionnaire of barriers to the development of football in Yazd province. After verifying the content validity of the questionnaire by the opinions of 10 experts in the field of sport management, the reliability of the questionnaire was assessed using Cronbach's alpha coefficient (a=0.82). Both descriptive and inferential data analyses were conducted. In this study barriers to the development of football in Yazd province were initially identified and then ranked using various models of multi-attribute decision-making. Ranking results using Copeland method showed the three leading causes were: failure to plan for barriers to the development of football, lack of qualified personnel in managerial positions, and lack of attention to the talent-finding and teams. It seems that it can be possible to step towards soccer improvement in Yazd province through proper planning, use of qualified individuals for the talent identification, and building a relationship with public organizations for financial supports.

Abstract: 

Nowadays, sports is considered one of the leading industries worldwide. Among various sporting activities, football has become one of the hottest and most popular sporting events because of its special appeal, and success in the field is very important. However, the international success of the national football teams is significantly influenced by different socio-economic, cultural, and geographical factors. Therefore, the goal of this research is to determine the impact of social factors on the performance of the teams participating in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Brazil. The research was descriptiveanalytical and, due to the nature of the subject, data was collected using the library and documents. The statistical population consisted of 32 teams in the 20th FIFA World Cup.Because of the study type, the sample size was the same as the population. Data analysis with Kolmogorov-Smirnov and univariate regression tests were performed using ECXEL and Eviews. The results showed that of social indicators (population size, weather, Gini coefficient, literacy rate, and life expectancy) the climate had a significant effect on football team performance, and the population, life expectancy, literacy rates and the Gini coefficient had no effect on athletic performance.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to investigate foreign second-hand sporting goods sales from customers’ point of view. The research methodology in terms of purpose was developmental, and in terms of the nature of the data was confirmatory mixed research consisting of qualitative and quantitative sections. The necessary data were gathered through interviews, observation, and review of the relevant theoretical questionnaires.Confirmatory factor analysis was used to test the strength and significance of each variable’s contribution to foreign second-hand sporting goods scale using PLS software.Reliability was assessed using the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 0.806. The statistical population included the customers of foreign second-hand sporting goods in Kurdistan province, of which 234 people were selected as sample. Based on the results, the social dimension was deleted from the final model because of very low effect size, and the analysis was conducted on the remaining four components (i.e. originality, economy, tourism or recreation, and place). The results showed that the brand originality had the highest impact on the sales of sporting goods (0.50).

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to analyze the current state and SWOT of hosting mega sporting event in Iran. Research method and type were descriptive and fundamental, respectively. Results showed that currently Iran has not good situation for hosting mega sport events, but had a potential for hosing and holding mega sport events. Support of Iranian people, security, tourism attraction, geographic situation, infrastructures and economic potential were identified as strengths points. Some weaknesses were transportation system, infrastructures and sport venues, human resource, management, economic sanctions by western countries, unstable government support, and lack of international lobbying power. Some opportunities were development of infrastructure, growth of the tourism industry, increased Iranian prestige, and development of social relationship. Finally, some threats included strong rivals, cost pressure of the event, uncertain management, and losing government support.

Abstract: 

The aim of this study was to model pool managers’ social capital in terms of customer loyalty. The statistical population of this study was all managers of public and private pools in the city of Mashhad (N=150) as well as the customers of those pools. Based on Morgan table, 108 and 384 people were selected from pool managers and clients, respectively, through random cluster sampling from 12 out of 50 pools in the city of Mashhad. Results showed that between social capital and customer loyalty in Mashhad significant positive correlation between public and private pools there. A significant positive relationship was found between components of capital (structural, cognitive, and communication) and customer loyalty. However, the results of the regression analysis revealed that only the cognitive capital is qualified as a predictor of customer loyalty. The path analysis indicate that the structural model of managers’ social capital has significant effect on customer loyalty.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to design a model of competences of entrepreneurs in the sports industry. Research method was descriptive-survey and the sample consisted of 155 experts and professors in physical education and entrepreneurship fields. The research instrument consisted of a researcher-constructed questionnaire, model-based building block competency with 101 items that evaluated competences of entrepreneurs in the sports industry in 5 dimensions including personal skills, science and academic competences, workplace competences, science and principles of entrepreneurship, and sport industry-wide competences. Data were analyzed by using tests of descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, and Pearson's correlation coefficient with SPSS and LISREL softwares. Results showed personal skills, sciences and academic competences, workplace competences, science and principles of entrepreneurship, and sport industry-wide competences make up 5 main levels of the research model, and 24 components explain these dimensions. Finally, 100 indices were identified for competences of entrepreneurs in the sports industry. Also, results indicated that the indices of the model are appropriate and acceptable. The model developed in this study can be used as an instruction for developing the competences of entrepreneurs in students, staff and administrators in universities, sports organizations and other custodians and policymakers in sports.
