Abstract: 

The present research studies the existance of verbal aggression in Tehrans guidance schools from students and teachers viewpoints. Subjects consist of 498 students of guidance schools( boys and girls) and 43 teachers. Rsearch findings highlight the fact that there exists verbal aggression in schools not only between students but also between teachers and students. The most important factors causing the verbal aggression of students is seen by them as unpleasunt educational environment, the student-teacher relationships and voluminous school text books. Teachers see the cause in the students family and cultural background. The students see the cause of teachers verbal aggression as being their uncapability to teach, their low income and the lake of cooperation between teachers while teachers themselves see the cause as the teachers unwillingness to teach. Teachers have a more positive opinion than students as to the school reactions faced with verbal aggression of students and teachers.

Abstract: 

In this research the psychometric charaterestics of Junior Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (JEPQ) on Tehran junior students were studied. The questionnaire contain extraversion (E), neuroticism (N), psychotism(P) as personality typescales and Lie (L) scale The JEPQ were conducted on 1171 male and 1019female high school students at age 12 to 18 year old. The reliabity and construct validity of the scales were investigated and discused in the articel.

Abstract: 

The Main Purpose of the Present study is to explore the trends of the research methods applied in the Masters theses of library and information science in Tehran University during 1969-1999. The findings indicate that out of 436 defended theses 42.9% have applied library research and 37.1% have used survey method for their investigations, but the application trends of these two methods follows in time two opposite ways; that is, while the number of library research as a method comes down in time, the survey method goes up, so that in the last decade it becomes the dominant method. The variety of research methods mainly belongs to the more recent periods, whereas in the first decade only one or two methods were applied. The dominant research method in library and information science, as the previous and present studies confirm,is survey method in the first place.

Abstract: 

Approximately 1 of every 100 people suffer from schizophrenia. Its duration could be long / short term and its effects could be range from modorate to severe. At chronic condition, the structure of personality of schizophrenicpatient distortions and his!her activities"disorganizd.The world health organization state that 27/000/000 people of world suffer from the types of schizophrenia. The prevalence of schizophrenia has been i!lcreased as with local population density goesup in cities. Patient with schizophrenia occupy about 50 percent of all mental-hospital beds. Although the finanicial cost of treatment of this disordr is enormouse, many schizophrenic patient dont response to medical treatments. Side effect of drugs, reduces the efficiencyof pharmalogical treatments. Thus, resarchers try to develope cognitive behavioural therapy for this disorder. The symptom of schizophrenia include hallucinations, delusions,disorganized speech, catatonic behavior and negative symptons such as flat affact, and loss of volition. In this research an adult schizophrenic patient was treated by using cognitive-behaviour therapy and medicat treatment. Finydings indicate this therapeutic method is very effective for schizophrenic patients.

Abstract: 

This Studywas conducted to determine the current Job Satisfaction Level of elementaryschool teachers in the city of Tehran. The method of study was survey research, and data was collected by questionnaire.A modified version of the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) was used. Sample included 400 Elementary School Teachers in districts, 1,11and 16 in Tehran. The findings in this research were as follows:76.5%of elementary school teschers indicated they were either satisfied or very satisfied with their jobs, while 9% were very dissatisfiedor dissatisfied.Of the 20 aspects of work measured by the(MSQ), teachers only indicated dissatisfaction with the compensation area. The two demographic variables of educational degree status and teachers intent to remain in the current position were found to be predictors of job satisfactionfor teachers.There were sixareas of teachers job satisfactionthat produced the most satisfactionin the study.These areas were social service, moral values, creativity,activity,variety,and ability utilization. In this study, teachers were the least satisfied with the areas which included compensation,companypolicies,advancement,and job security.

Abstract: 

Two groups of school age children with (LD) and without learning disabilities (NLD) are compared using the parents and teachers forms of Social Skills Rating Systems.(Gresham & Elliott, 1990).The results revealed that LD and NLD children do not differ on teachers ratings of social skills and behavior problems. LD children scored significantlylower than NLD children in parents ratings of social skills including responsibility and cooperation. LD children scored higher than NLD children in parents raings of behavior problems including externalizingand hyperactivity.LD children have sufficientsocial skills at school while they lack social skills at home.

Abstract: 

In the current research investigate the impact of early morning physical exercises activities on reduction of aggression in children with mental retardation. To reach this end sixtystudents with a milld mental retardation between ages 10 thru 13 by means of random samplingwas selected, and was rondomly assignedto experimentaland control groups. The projective test of Rosenszwickhas been implementedas pretest and post-test for experimental and control groups. Experimental group was undergone three monthes of early morning physical exercises activities as illustrated in the methology section of original article while control groups having irrelevant and neutral activities.After three monthes two groups were comparedwith each other by using a repeated measure design.Statistical analysisindicated that three were a significant gains in experimental groups in terms of Group Conforimity Index(G.C.R).The findingsinditate to the beneficial effect of early morning exercisesactivities in reduction of aggressive tendencies and enhancemant of group conformity

Abstract: 

The present study represents an attempt to compare sub. Cataloging consistency between the catalogers of National Library of Iran(NLI) on one side and 12 majors academic and special libraries located in Tehran on the other. The findings indicate that in 75% of libraries the subject inconsistency values are 60% to 85%. In terms of subject classes, the inconsistency values come 51.13% to 82.45% which mean goes to 70.6%. The number of subject headings assigned to books in the class of phlilosophy is the most and for class of generalities is the least. It means that whatever the number of assigned terms increases, the probabilily of consistency decrases. It confirms the Markey findings in 1984. More than 50% of subject inconsistency in . libraries belong to the subject sturcture It means that after more than 18 years of access to the "List of Subject Headings", catalogers may not be adapted with that formal vocabulary control. The mean number of subject headings for each book is 1.6 which means less than 2 subjects access points are provided to retrieve a book. One may ask if titles cannot do this job, and whether this kind of subject analysis and representation is adequate for subject cataloging of books. It can be concluded that term assignments in the Iranian libraries, at least in the population of the present study, are highly inconsistent, and access points to retrieve the relevant books are very few, both of which means low precision and recall in an assumed union catalogue or network.

Abstract: 

Evaluating staff in universities by students is a very common performance at the end of all academic terms. The validity of this evaluation may be treated by the gender as an intervening variable. The main purpose of this research was investigate the degree of being interference results if the gender of staff, as evaluated, and students, as evaluator, are homogenous or not.The research conducted at the Ferdowsi University at city of Mashhad. 371 students and 11 faculties were chosen by a random sampling. The most direct findings, collected by questionnaire, indicated that the gender had not an unintended effect on the results. Some further findings showed differences among four types of gender combinations (F-F; F-M; M-F; and M-M) and different disciplines, all may be found at the full text.

Abstract: 

This article has been written to clarifythe meaningsof the expression of moral and social responsibility and to show its evidents in educational administration. While the article articulated the necessityand importance of moral and social responsibility,the individual and social roots of it and its effects on individual and society has been discussed. Besides surveying different factors of moral and social responsibility like the impacts of the individual personality characteristics on decision-makings, compatibility between decisions and a certain culture, and how decisions are affected by perceptions and values of individual;the Justice, caring and critical aspects of moral and social responsibilities have been explaind. the Justice aspect has focused on how educational organizations administration, decision-making, alloocation of resources and equal opportunities are fulfilled. The critical aspect refers to concentration of power, qualification of those who manage the educational systemand how social classesdevelop. The caring factor has concentrated on humanistic aspects of administration behavior, needs satisfaction and maintaining of human values. The article has evaluated the current methods of education related to moral and social.responsibility.At the end, the article has suggested some solutions to improve the state of moral and social responsibilitiesin educationalorganizations.
