Abstract

The relationship between EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and COMMUNICATION SKILLS was investigated in a group of Iranian STUDENTs. 53 female and 76 male university STUDENTs completed the EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE Scale (Schutte et al., 1998) and the COMMUNICATION SKILLS Inventory (Jerabek, 2004). Data showed EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE was positively associated with COMMUNICATION SKILLS. GENDER differences in EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and COMMUNICATION SKILLS were not significant.
