JOB-SHARING: A RESPONSE TO EMPLOYMENT CHALLENGES FOR EDUCATED WOMEN

Abstract

 Balance between employment and life constitutes the biggest challenge of employees of our time. This is particularly very true for women. Inability to resolve the CONTRADICTION between employment and family is the main source of occupational stress which creates personal as well as occupational dissatisfaction. In order to overcome these problems, it is necessary to pursue ways which can satisfy the needs of organizations, put less stress on employees and increase their productivity level.In this research, while studying the situation of EDUCATED WOMEN and their share in job market, we have evaluated FLEXIBLE EMPLOYMENT METHODS and JOB SHARING in particular. In order to achieve this goal, we have done structured interviews with Azad University’s administrators in regard to the possibility of JOB SHARING in the university. After the completion of the qualitative methods, a questionnaire has been prepared to evaluate the women’s views about JOB SHARING. The result of quantitative research demonstrate that women have positive view in regard to JOB SHARING. Despite this, we must make sure that JOB SHARING would not weaken bargaining power of EDUCATED WOMEN.
