Abstract

this paper studies the relationship between SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS and ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENTs among the personnel of Foundations of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs in the East Branch of Tehran. The sample of the study includes 169 personnel of the organization. In doing this research, systematic sampling has been used. To measure the SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS three indexes of job prestige, income and education and in order to measure the ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT Allen and Meyer (1990) standard questionnaire’s has been used. Results of the study have shown that there is no significant relationship between SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS and ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT. In addition, findings the study have shown that there is a weak relationship exists between socioeconomic and continuance commitment, But, no significant relationship exists between SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS and normative commitment.
